VIDEO: Audi debuts Meet the Beckers, Episode 2

We're only two episodes into Audi's "Meet the Beckers" viral video series, and we're already big fans. Last time Audi boldly ripped on the competition from BMW, Lexus, and Mercedes with jabs to the brands existing stereotypes. This time, "Beckers" episode two focuses its comedic wit on the owner of "The Ultimate Driving Machine." The Affable Audi driver rips the Bimmer for being purple, which is met with the response, "It's Laguna Seca Blue." Our protagonist then asks if the BMW owner if he even knows what Laguna Seca is. Hilarious video, but the car was definitely not laguna seca blue. LSB was a light blue. Interlagos Blue is what they're talking about, but I guess then the joke wouldn't be funny.

Interlagos is the Brazillian F1 track at Sao Paulo. It'd mean the same thing, cept Laguna Seca is in California, so I guess it'd better known to Americans

Somewhat amusing this time around. Stereotypical Merc, Lexus and BMW owners are pretty much nailed in this series, but I think Audi may be giving their patronizers too much credit for being so ostensibly normal. I've met some pretty douchey Audi drivers.
Would be interesting to see how they treat Infiniti (probably smoking pot and listening to Wu-Tang in the attic) and Caddy (hunting for moose?) owners.

the best part is that w/o BMW, Audi would have never stepped up its game.
smart advertising campaign from a company that cant outsell BMW based on the merits of their cars.
this is kinda like McCain bashing Obama for being a better candidate.

I'm big BMW fan from way back but I think you are short selling Audi. Have you ever had one? Audi sales has not just picked up because of their advertising.

Shawn I agree and disagree with you. First competition is generally a good thing so when you say Audi stepped up its game because of BMW the opposite is also true. I am not sure if you have ever driven a Audi but I have I can tell you they are great cars. They offers great engine and transmission choices. Audi interiors are awesome (even BMW would agree to that).
While I was in Germany I saw more Audi than BMW and the local would tell you that they prefer Audis over BMWs. Audi racing heritage and history is legendary (look it up esp Ralley Racing).
I am not Audi fanboy but I appreciate good cars.
