Force Performance building two-door TriCharger

Click above for more shots of the Force Performance TriCharger
Fans of the classic B-Body Dodge Charger from the late '60s and early '70s have long been disappointed that Chrysler released the modern Charger as a four-door sedan. Despite being a sales success, there is still a faction of die-hard MOPAR fans who believe it was a mistake to put the Charger name badge on anything other than a two-door. We'll be polite and leave the '80's four-cylinder front-wheel-drive Charger out of the discussion – oops. A company by the name of Force Performance is currently working hard to rectify the situation by chopping up an LX-based Dodge Charger into a coupe. As you can see from the pictures in our gallery, the scalloped doors from the 68-70 Charger have made the conversion along with a twin-nostril split grille reminiscent of the classic '69. We can also see a well-domed hood, which is necessary for clearance over the insane HEMI V8 engine that's both twin turbocharged and supercharged. Three blowers, hence the TriCharger name. Awesome. Thanks for the tip, Orange Bread!

Being a Mustang guy that currently drives Charger R/T I don't see it! I was thinking Avenger with a face lift!

Looks good! I would settle for a mass-produced front clip to bolt on to the four door. I like the shorter, less bulky look.

Aren't they a couple years too late with the Challenger (also LX platform) already on the market?
I see no point of this car other than it being an expensive custom job which, in the end, is not much different than the Challenger.

Exactly- if they had done this when the Charger first launched, it would have been valid, perhaps even significant. Now? Not - as - much.

What's the point of this car? All the die-hard Mopar fans this car is intended to attract all went and bought the new Challenger SRT8. And while the motor is torn apart and beefed to the max, there's no mention of any other mechanical work being done - like brakes, suspension or weight reduction. So predictable. Basically it will go like an SRT8 with a jet engine, stop like a dump truck, and handle like a Winnebago towing a swimming pool.

Wait a minute, two turbos and a supercharger! What's the point? You don't need all that extra hardware to make alot of boost. This "tricharger" system will probably be capable of more boost than even race fuel can take without knocking, so it will need to be turned down to a level that is reachable by a supercharger alone. Not to mention those tires will be gone, but i guess that's the point.

Why not just start with a Challenger and graft the necessary Charger bits to it?

You're jokin' right? because the Challenger actually sells & would be expensive to buy & then convert.
The Charger can be had much cheaper (rebates, factory deals, etc) WTF would you want to F-up a Challenger?

I find two-door cars to be useless.

Yeah- you should buy your Corvettes, Camaros, Mustangs, Vipers, Ferraris, Lamborghinis, and so on with 4 doors because you know they're meant to haul a family around...
