Click above for a high-res gallery of 2010 Ford Mustang teasers

Ford is continuing its painfully slow unveiling of the 2010 Mustang with another new image showing the car's front fender and the rear view mirror. It could just be the angle, but the photo shows a more curvaceous hood line that dips down to the headlight more than the current design. Another difference is the fender, which flows from the hood to the wheel well in one smooth line rather than the current one that has a more pronounced and angular flare. Finally, we get another view of the rear view mirror, the top half of which is now painted instead of textured black. Like us, you'd probably rather see the whole car by now, but Ford has seven more teaser images to go before it unveils the car in Los Angeles in more than a month and a half. So, like us, you're just going to have to get used to it.

      Funny thing is people getting worked up over a teaser shot. I guess I just glance and move on, for me it is just a reminder that the reveal is coming. The Mustang is still a good looking car, hell, the last gen is still good looking. As a Challenger owner, Mustang was there before Dodge or Chevy with a retro design I doubt this refresh is going to hurt any. Most of us can see what the hood, taillights and headlight changes will do to it and its going to be hot.

      It would be funny if someone leaked a whole shot...like tomorrow. That would put an end to this stupid teasing bs...

      As a two time Mustang owner, I can honestly say, I am not exctied by this.

      They need to start all over with the Mustang. It has gained too much weight. It is no longer the fun "Pony" car it used to be.

        • 6 Years Ago
        Hey stumpy-you can thank the insurance groups for the increase in weight. All cars weigh more than they did even just 10 years ago. But comparing it to its direct competition,the camaro and challenger, its a featherweight!

      All these teasers for a mid-cycle facelift?
      • 6 Years Ago
      This is stupid, and barely warrants even a blog post. I have seen the spy shots of the 2010 stang, and it is an uggo.

        carbon,
        I have seen the car in person ( albeit covered by the zebra paint ) and I can tell you its much more cuvaceous and sexy than the current Mustang. he camo's job is to prevent the lens on the camera from being able to capture the shape, because the alternate white/black pattern confuses the focus and lightmeter. Therefore, you're not seeing the shapes and forms, it just looks flat with black/white dots. Very clever.

        I would say that this *does* warrant a post....a huge one in fact..... The redesign of the car that re-invigorated the muscle car market and thus created the reason for a Challenger, Camaro, and Genesis coupe, is a big deal indeed.

      If this was Jessica Alba hiking her skirt up an inch each day, I'd stay tuned....intently.

      Car manufacturers though need to realize theres no genitalia on the car to keep the audience engrossed.

        In before Mercury Mistress.
        • 6 Years Ago
        genitalia? engrossed? What a ugly/anticeptic words to use here. Are you a doctor? I am not interested in anyone's genitalia. How do you talk dirty? Hey babe, I am so totally engrossed in your genitalia. In addition, I would like to make note of your prodigious mammaries.

        Watching Jessica Alba hike up her skirt on the other hand, is very hot.

        Just teasing you Flyingknees, pls dont get super offended.

      Ok it was fun for a while... but I am getting sick of the Teasers.. GM, Lambo, Citroen, Ford.. Its a tired gimmick. Is it me or does everyone use the same advertising firm..or none at all. I am sick of seeing a wheelwell or a tail light .. or a seat bottom... Its stupid, aggravating, and played out...

      I wonder when carmakers will begin to understand that the enthusiasts -- those who are really the evangelists about these cars -- hate this whole strip tease B.S. This is ridiculous.
        • 6 Years Ago
        I wonder when enthusiasts will begin to understand that they're not the majority of Mustang buyers.

      OH GOD, STOP THIS STUPIDITY FORD!!!

      Either reveal the damn car, or JUNK IT!!!
      • 6 Years Ago
      if it ends up having the same engine (or worse), then all the hype will be meaningless

      I wish they would just show the whole car.

      Thus far, it seems to me that this is going to look a lot sharper than the current gen mustang, meaning more angular and aggressive. I'm excited.
        • 6 Years Ago
        @stealthebeatles
        I see test mules almost on a daily basis and I can tell you it's gonna look good. It seems like the changes are subtle but the whole entire package seems to be more "tight".

        I would like to see the finished product but I am just glad Ford is not taking GM's approach with the Camaro and showing the whole car off (concept and production) for YEARS on end. It's already been a couple years since the concept came out.

        @stealthebeatles
        It looks like the are going to make the car look more compact and taught. I like that path as opposed to the Challenger and the Camaro that both look kind of bloated. imho
