Click above for high-res gallery of Infiniti G37 Convertible teasers
A second teaser shot for the upcoming Infiniti G37 Convertible has found its way onto the web, and the timing couldn't be better considering the debut of the Lexus IS250C today at the 2008 Paris Motor Show. Both cars will be setting their sites on the BMW 335i convertible, and the G37 'vert will be packing a 328-horsepower 3.7L V6 in its holster when the time comes. Other features include a three-piece folding hardtopIts and a seven-speed automatic transmission, as well as a completely redesigned rear end to accommodate the new roof. The G37 Convertible's official debut isn't until the LA Auto Show in November, at which time we'll get to fully see how the G37 Coupe translates into a convertible. Until then, check out the teasers in our gallery below.

Did they paint S15 headlights red? Either way, looks great!

There's no comparison. Lexus dropped the balls and Infinity just spanked them. They Banglized the IS250 into a 250C.

Comparing the side profiles of this and the IS250C side by side I'm not seeing much difference.... They're both unappealing to me..

except that the wheels in the G37 look 10x better, but that actual car itself...

I agree that so far this appears to be a much better design.
However I have yet to see the G with top up or the 250C with the top down.

My Mistake, there are top down pics of the 250C in the second gallery.
Yeah, the G is better. even if it turns out to be not-so-pretty with the top up.

I have seen this with the top up and it's very nice. Similar folding mechanism to the one on the 335ic, except the G retains its coupe shape much better than the others.

its okay....
Personally i think its the rims that make it look nice...the body is ugly..
Like the Lines of the IS Coupe better

I hated this car when i first saw sneak peaks of it, i thought it would be the weakest design of the G-line, but compared to the IS250C this thing looks absolutely beeauuuuutiful

Lexus completely screwed the pooch by not coming up with a nice IS coupe design first. Baby steps Lexus, baby steps. Remember that next time. Perhaps the only thing worse than an IS250c would be an IS-Fc, combining with the the red-headed stepchild looks of the IS250c with the tack-on JCWhitney look of the IS-F.
Anyway, this G37 coupe is really a great looking car, and this convertible version has no trouble following in its footsteps.

I guess I'm in the minority here, but I honestly thought (and still think) the mkI G coupe was a real stunner of a car, and the mkII is less attractive on the whole.
That said, I think the haunches of this G better lend their shape to a droptop. Without the balance of the fat C pillar on the MkI, it may not have pulled it off quite as handily.
