Paris 2008: Aston Martin One-77 (partially) revealed

Click above for a high-res gallery of the Aston Martin One-77
Aston Martin said it would have a "property" here in Paris, and indeed it did. The Aston Martin One-77 made its "debut," but it looks like we'll have to wait a bit longer to see the British automaker's $1,000,000+ super coupe.
Judging by the limited upskirt shots in our gallery, the length of the One-77 easily surpasses the DB9 and the stylized front end, with blacked-out headlamps, ensures that the One-77 will spend more time in the comfy confines of heated and carpeted garages then out on the track where it's 7.3-liter V12, carbon fiber monocoque and massive brakes will be put to good use.

totally agree about the Centennial.

Both the Citroen and this have similar 'arches' or flying buttresses in front of the front wheels. Is this the next design trend? I hope not!! Bleh.
Another current trend that is weird is the big grill w/ a recessed middle. I don't know what you call this but you can find it on the Evo X, Audi's, GT-R, and even the refreshed 3-series.

Can I get one without the engine, carbon fibre, and expensive innards? I just want some glue to stick it onto a wall

Aston seems to be doing far better without Ford ownership.

do you realize how long it takes for a concept to go from sketch to final design to clay model to one off concept????
this was designed when Mr. Ford was signing the checks, i assure you.

Wow, that looks nice. I'm not sure if it's worth a million dollars. But someone will buy it. And i know Jeremy Clarkson will definitely drive it. What about the Rapide?

Partial reveals before an auto show are one thing, partial reveals AT the auto show are stupid!

It seems overdone and overdesigned. Nothing is better than simple, yet subtle and beautiful forms that Fisker created.

The blacked out headlights are obviously only representations of the to-be-shape and form of the glass versions. i'm sure the blog knew this was simply a mockup model...

I dont think the blog gets it - yes this is clearly a mock-up for the auto show. I doubt it even moves under its own power.
It will be interesting to see how Aston Martin does without Ford. So far I am not convinced they can come out with a million dollar supercar.

might even be a clay model or a fiberglass shell
Daniel Serrano 12:22PM (10/02/2008)
I'm sure that if they can pull off a 265K DBS that's not even fast but ohhh so desirable, they probably can get it right with the one-77,

Time to go digging around in couches for $2 million I guess.

This is more like it. Dont need to see the rest of the car. Look at that massive metal mouth grill!! Why doesnt every auto designer go do an internship at Aston and learn what beautiful look like?? Talking to you IS coupe, new 750il, new E-class designers. I know the DB9, DBS, Vantage all look alike, who cares when they all still make you stare in jealousy as your girl smiles wryly at them when they drive by.
