Paris Preview: four-door Lamborghini Estoque unofficially revealed!

Lamborghini has spent the last few weeks tantalizing us with teasers of its front-engine, four-door concept, but that comes to an early end today as a French website has unceremoniously revealed the concept we've been calling the Estoque. Though the images in our gallery are low-res, we can still make everything out. The Estoque features a long hood and short rear deck, with horizontal headlights up front and a pair of big Reventon-style air intakes in the front bumper. The fender vents behind the front wheels are tucked into the car's character line that flows back until it hits those wide rear haunches. Thanks to those teasers we had already figured out what the rear end would look like, and all those guesses were fairly spot on. The rumormills are telling us to expect the 560-hp V10 from the Gallardo LP 560-4 underhood, as well as all-wheel-drive. Though it's showing up as a concept at the Paris Motor Show tomorrow, the Estoque is said to be destined for production as early as 2010 to compete with the new crop of four-door coupes from Porsche (Panamera) and Aston Martin (Rapide). We'll have live shots from the official unveiling early tomorrow morning, so stay tuned.

Better than the Panamera, still a fail for me.

beauty? yes. unique? It's hard to be unique nowadays I'll give them that.
It looks like a "lamboed" volt though, or am I seeing things that you guys aren't? And then you could argue the volt is just TL-inspired, and you could probably go on and on and on.
So you know what, let's not try to find the source of this Lambo and simply say that it's sweet :D
I will however retaliate if they decide to do like Porsche and enter the SUV market or some market that doesn't fit Lamborghini's original target markets. They should always stay true to what they believe in.

Just picture walking up on that rear quarter view in a parking garage and hopping in it... Spaceship status. I love it.

It is beautiful, but not outrageous enough to wear the Lamborghini badge.

I wonder if people would say the same thing if they made a Lambo SUV...
It begins with four-door Lambos and ends when there's a Ferrari SUV =(
Actually, the only reason why they probably went for a sedan is because SUVs aren't selling, seeing as how Porsche already went the SUV route.
Oh well, at least this opens up a spot for a new super sports car only brand...

Um, are you being sarcastic? You do know what a Lamborghini LM002 is right? The way I see it is if any sports car maker has a tradition of coming up with odd 4-door vehicles, it's Lamborghini...

I sent this tip in, I guess I was too damn late. But anyway...I hate this car, it looks ugly to me. Rather the Panamera.

Yeah the low res pics in your gallery, came from the link I sent.

The Panamera over this? It looks like some hideous comcept car from the early 90's. I love the look of this Lambo. However, to each his own. None of us can afford them anyway, especially now.
It's all moot....
hankfidel 10:52AM (10/01/2008)
Yeah, I mean there are some good lines I like on this car, but as a whole...it just ain't doing it for me. It looks like a doped out Reventon in my eyes. Plus even if I did have the money for any of them I wouldn't buy any of them. Cross overs look appealing, like the Q7.
BigMcLargeHuge 10:50AM (10/01/2008)
Liking it.

Rapide, please.

To my eye, that's more "sedan" than "four-door coupe" (I was expecting the latter). Again, to my eye, the Aston Martin Rapide is the more cohesive and successful design of the two.

ummmm...since when did Lambo decide they wanted to compete with Maybach...not smart, and not a lambo, and not attractive.
