Paris Preview: Drip, drip drip, Lambo teaser #4

Click above for gallery of Lamborghini "Urus" teaser shots
The trickle of images from Sant'Agata continues today as Lamborghini has shipped yet another teaser of the new car that it will show on Thursday at the Paris Motor Show. This time around we get a frontal image of the headlight area. Unlike the last two production models, the Gallardo and Murcielago, the orientation of the light cluster has been switched from vertical to horizontal. There is also a large vent visible implying that the engine is up front this time around. We only have one more day to wait for the full reveal, so it will be interesting to see what Lamborghini has wrought when it unveils the Urus or Estoque or whatever this concept turns out to be named.

"There is also a large vent visible implying that the engine is up front this time around."
Since I like to nit pick, the side profile shot with the fender vent already implied that, technically.

'Basta!'
Will AB ever turn into a "Reality" blog: first bolt, first nut, first tack,...? Can hardly wait... :P

Vents at the front doesn't always indicate front engine... I'd expect a car blog to be a bit of 'smart' than that...
The Enzo, Cien, F40 and F50 are just a few examples I could quickly think up that has "bonnet" vents that are definitely not front engined.
The fender vent could simply be a brake cooling vent.
I think it's going to be something like a Miura reborn.. a mid engined coupe, possibly even a 2+2.

You just compared this lambo to ferrari supercars. None of which is the market for this. It has already been established that it will be a 4 door. If you had to take an educated guess what do 4 door cars usually have....Thats right a front mounted engine
Lambo is going to be putting out something real fresh here. Everything does look great and still follows there language.....
Oh this teaser thing works a lot better for them than citroen haha

A quick study of mid engined cars bonnet vents will reveal they often utilize a greater portion of the front hood... a hood which also slopes at a steeper angle.
What the keen eye will note is how the vent here seems to be relatively small, far off to the side and seemingly hemmed in on the right side by a hood mass. In all front engined cars with radiator vents I can think of, the vents are either louvers above and around the engine, or ducts shaped around the engine.
This seems to a be an example of the latter, which is more correctly associated with cars like the Ferrari 456GT or Daytona.
Moreover the width of the headlights is a dead give away for front engine design, since its a typical response to the higher profile (dictated by the engine) to emphasize width. Just picture Gallardo headlights on an Audi A8 and you get the picture.

You also have to consider that there is a visible trunk on this car like any other front engine car
look at the picture of the tail lights for proof

I really cannot wait to see all of it. Lookin' very sexy so far.

Anyone else totally bored with Lambo these days? They have been re-badging the same car for years now and passing it off as the next great thing.... How about something TRULY new - and while they're at it - how about updating the engineering already!?!

OK so there are some pretty clueless readers here.
First of all this think already looks the spitting image of the Gallardo/Reventon/etc.. and it's only partially revealed.
Second - its ONLY A CONCEPT which means that Lambo may or may not produce it.
My comment stands. Lambo is aesthetically stale and out of date mechanically.

"OK so there are some pretty clueless readers here."
... and then you make comments based on partial images from a concept car. Lets talk Thursday, that would make more sense. Then we can see if it is another rehash, a new 4 door or something truly unique. Then you can bash Lambo. Frankly, I find their designs beautiful, even the rebadges.

The headlights for that car is drop dead gorgeous.
