9ff already working on Porsche Panamera?

Somebody's got to beat back the ugly afflicting the four-door Porsche Panamera when it arrives. 9ff, the Dortmund, Germany-based firm, is actively recruiting orders for its tuned version of the highly anticipated curve-ball from Porsche. There are no details or pictures on the 9ff website, though there is a rendering showing a slightly abstract version of how a warmed up Zuffenhausen sedan may look. While we're sure the car will be an awesome performer, 9ff will push the envelope even further. It's a brilliant bit of marketing -- basically selling shares in the tuner's Panamera program before the car has arrived. If enough orders come in, the company will be flush with cash to develop the fastest, most hideously nasty looking car to ever wear the Porsche crest. Yes, even worse than the Cayenne and its nostril fetish.

The gray stripe is a hint: 9ff is planning to remove that section from the car and turn the Panamera back into a 911.

kinda looks like a wagon, which isnt necessarily a bad thing. make it an rs6 avant beater and i think youve found your market.

The Panamera certainly does explain why Porsche never does any dramatic changes to the 911 shape over the years. They have no talent for new exterior design.

I must be the only one who actually likes the design. Hopefully in 8 years when I can afford one their resell value will reflect that.

Jesus, I saw one of these out here in Maricopa the other day in bright blue "camo" being tested along with some 370's... absolutely hideous.

it is growing on me with every step.
the front is a bit like the C-GT, the rear in the vein of the old school 928 and it reminds me a bit of the e-type as well.
isn`t it almost tradition to critisize new porsches heavily but get used to them sooner than later. same procedure as... imho

911 + 928. Maybe we complain about Porsche lame design because we are not used to any Porsche design at all, except by their design studio. If you look at Audi or VW by example, all their cars look pretty similar. Sometimes I have problems trying to discern and A4 avant from and A6 avant.
But I still don't like it.

This may be a real looker once it actually gets produced - sketches and prototypes still have to become reality - I'll wait to drive it to make my final opinion - I hope its a hot ride and I'll sell my S6.
