Pics Aplenty: 2009 Audi RS6 sedan

Click above for hi-res gallery of the Audi RS6
As far as Teutonic super-sedans go...scrap that: as far as anything goes – and go it does – the Audi RS6 is one of the most desirable cars on the market. Previously only available as a wagon, Audi gave us a sneak peek of the new RS6 sedan in Moscow ahead of its official unveiling next week in Paris. For those of you who cannot wait that long, Ingolstadt has come to the rescue with new images of the twin-turbo V10 speed demon, which we've added to our gallery below. Click away.

Whoops
If only the 2009 RS6 sold for the same price as the 2003 did...
Looks like either going to need 156,000 dollars per RS6 instead.

Yeah.
Me too.

Looks like I am going to need 156,000 dollars per RS6 instead.*
Dont know why I wrote "either" instead of "I am"

hall monitor- you're dumb. no one is going to click on your link....... Who crashes buses into houses anyway?

But anyway, I think 156K is a little too much. I think maybe 90K is reasonable.
I think the new CTS-V will fulfill most people's needs. You really don't need to get faster than a CTS-V, and with the projected price of 60K, there's no need to go higher in price, either. Nice car, though.

Why not an M5?
Yar 9:31PM (9/21/2008)
Or a CTS-V. RS6 size, M3 prize, and unequaled performance.
Crackberry Addict 12:14PM (9/22/2008)
yar, good point! idk why you got a low ranked? for just having common sense.

Between this and the CTS-V it will be interesting to see how BMW steps up the next M5. The competition is getting pretty tough in the mid-size luxury performance sedan market.

I remember hearing they're going with either a TT V8
(which would be an awesome power plant) or a 5.5L V10. Horsepower will probably be around 530 - 550, which will make things very interesting. There is, however, the 800lb Gorilla in the Generals room, and that's the LS9. It should slide right into the V with no trouble at all, and with some wider tires and the ZR-1's big ol' brakes GM has the ability to shut the door on any possible competition with a simple wave of the hand. The question is, will they do it?

Isn't this 60% front heavy?
Well if the Avant is 59% front heavy

The way I see it, weight distribution is starting to matter less and less when it comes to more "mainstream" performance cars such as this. With Active Suspensions, fancy AWD systems, and hyper-fast Stability Control companies can imitate any car dynamics they want.
MikeW 10:44AM (9/22/2008)
What 'active suspensions'? The closest is MB ABC.
Nothing 'fancy' about the torsen center differential here.
'hyperfast stability control' This doesn't have the torque vectoring rear differential yet does it?
I'd hope that when the ZF 8 speed auto is ready to be installed Audi also slaps in the torque vectoring rear diff.
The 12.5:1 steering is to 'help' people forget how front heavy it is.
Audi needs to achieve 55/45 distribution.

i've seen one of these on the streets around where i live, and even though the design is elegant and nothing exciting, it has presence, yes it does.

Okay,If I have over ten thousand $,I'd like to own a Porsche GT3...However,this is just a dream.
I live in China,A GT3 must cost nearly 400,000dollars,as well as the latest RS6,I think...

Holy cow. Would the Gt2 be reaching close to 1 million dollars then? I hope your numbers are wrong. If not, move to the US and achieve your Porsche dream for significantly less...
Cyx 9:17PM (9/21/2008)
Oh yes,I sorry. The price of GT3 I wrote is wrong, that is a GT2,and the GT3 is a half of that as well as the RS6.
However,It's more expensive than the US market tag still...
