Paris Preview: Lamborghini teases new mystery car

Click above image to enlarge
Just in from Lamborghini, a very nebulous pre-release that reads only:
"It's not just a new Lamborghini. It's a new world."
The above photo accompanies it, showing only a center-exit exhaust, some rear grillework, and a carbon fiber diffuser. And that's it. Commence guessing in the comments below. Lambo's letting the cat out of the bag on October 1st, and we're as curious as everyone else right now.

Man, didn't you read? It's a "New World"

I'll go the longshot and guess it's a Lambo sedan based off the S6.
Longer- SUV off the Q7.

i'll agree with either of these

Actually, I think a multiseat sedan-type makes the most sense. We can't see the top of the rear bumper, and what appears to be the license plate holder is just above the exhaust. The exhaust of both the LP560-4 and Murcielago is positioned higher than what appears in these photos. But since it's below the plate holder and since we can't see the top of the rear bumper, I would say it is very likely the engine placement is still behind the seats, which would rule out the SUV, unless it's unconventionally an MR SUV. Which doesn't really make financial sense.
It's likely this is an Evora type or a full four door MR "coupe", in the Rapide/Panamera realm.

I agree, the diffuser is shallow meaning theres "stuff" up above it, like a trunk. The exhaust is also low, again indicating a low trunk. Finally the rear mesh grill is small, indicating its mostly for show... so its a front engined vehicle.
I'd be more willing to be guess this is an Espada redux off the Panamera platform.

mate, judging by the ground clearance of the vehicle (look at the back tyres, its very high off the ground... for a lambo anyhoo) i definitely think you could be onto something!! how cool would that be! stick it to porsche cayenne with an suv-type-thing just before they take u over! nice :)

I think I know what it is. Its based off the Cayman chassis, with a V8 producing 400+ hp. Exhaust is sized and placed perfectly. Wheels are spaced perfectly.

Yeah, except the Lambo's italian and will break down on the first corner. Maserati is the only manufacturer that has become reliable over the years, Ferrari to to a degree with the new 599 and 430. But...dare I say, Lambo's still kinda suck. Their electronics at least.

In reply to Asher.
What are you on about? Lamborghini are owned by Audi and are said to have very good reliability now, compared to a few years ago, with Audi ironing out quality issues.
Oh, and I cannot wait at all to see this motor, it should be the dog's bollocks.
It may be an SUV, but Lambo made a big deal of the Gallardo being cleaner than the pre-LP one, and so i think that's gonna rule that out (though i'd love to see one).
I'd say a 4seater. Espada maybe? A saloon would be nice, and a good choice i believe.

Im gonna go with a new small atom/xbow/elise type vehicle. The future of sports cars are smaller lighterweight iterations. Expect a healthy dose of alacantara and high class alloys to keep the price in lambo territory.

I can only see two things that might live up to the New World proclamation:
1 - Hybrid (or even all electric)
2 - The long-awaited flying car
