Lamborghini surely didn't intend for the Gallardo to be used as a 1/4-mile racer, but that doesn't mean we don't like to see an owner put his car to the test. Add a set of twin-turbos and we're really interested. This particular Gallardo was built by Underground Racing in Charlotte, NC, and despite a fairly slow launch runs an impressive 10.2 at 155 mph. Judging by the mph, this Gallardo is capable of running well into the 9's. Even more impressive is that the car has a six-speed transmission rather than Lamborghini's e-gear that would surely cut down the time as well. Follow the jump to watch the video.

I don't think anyone wealthy enough to own a twin turbo Lamborghini is too concerned about the general well being of his equipment or tires.

Even i'm impressed, and that's not easy to do.

I was also under the impression that anything 150mph+ requires a parachute at the strip.

what a POS. Go back to kindergarten with your bright orange italian lunchbox. You can find a Youtube vid where some guy runs a FWD Plymouth Acclaim at a 12.2 sec 1/4.

not impressed simply because this "10 second" car has "1,026rwhp." this thing should be in the 9's pushing for 8's. Also a Mk4 supra with 1000hp and stock weight should be mid 9's 10's at the highest with slicks. someone can correct me on that

The ET is ok, the mph is good, but the most impressive thing is seeing a Lambo doing a full run and not end up on a roll back with a toasted clutch. Bravo to the transmission guys!

"this just in, a modified high end sports car makes a high 1/4 mile time that breaks no ground"

Yea it's fast, but is this suppose to be surprising or something?
