BRABUS C63 AMG adds 73 HP to super sedan

BRABUS, the German tuner of all things Daimler, has laid its hands upon the C63 AMG and somehow teased out an additional 73 horsepower from the sedan's 6.2L V8. With a BRABUS badge on the back, the C63 AMG produces 530 hp and 479 lb-ft of torque, up from 457 and 442, respectively. Called the B63 S performance kit, the engine mods include free-flow high-performance metal catalysts, sport air filters and new programming for the ECU with custom mapping. With everything in place, the BRABUS C63 AMG can hit 62 mph in just 4.1 seconds and ultimately top out at 197 mph. Of course, the rest of the sedan has been beefed up to support the engine with components like a BRABUS performance brake system, 19-inch wheels and a height-adjustable BRABUS coil-over suspension. Finally, the German tuner has a whole catalogue of interior and exterior accessories to set your B63 S apart from stock C63 AMGs.

That grille is badass. Very cool car, it just needs some 20% tint to finish it off.

+1 on the tint. For some reason, the wheels just don't do it for me. Not a fan of the red engine treatments either.

Grille makes it look like a debadged Civic.
If I'm gonna shell out for a Brabus, I'll take the 720hp Bullit. They should call this one the Bull-Sh-it.

Well this is probably in the $100K range vs. $400K for the Bullit. So I'd go with this and spend the $300K on a Murcielago.

Makes sense, probably pretty easy actually. The same engine in other AMG cars makes more hp with different exhaust, intake, and software. On any other car 73hp gain N/A from some simple bolt-ons isn't as easy to come by.

A stock C63 AMG is a chip away from the 500+ hp the other models with this engine can develop. Of course you don't get the other Brabus goodies like brakes and tuning, but if your bank account is already hurting after parting with $65k and a mere 451 ponies aren't enough you still have options.

the new c class just looks fantastic. brabus makes it even better. i would love a gently used one in 2 or 3 years.
