The trailer for Need for Speed: Undercover is out, and it is 60 straight seconds of "We want." The in-game texture looks primo and the storyline sections are a nice mix full-motion and rendered video. We have no idea what the game involves yet, so we can only hope that EA has restored some of the buck-wild madness that was missing from Need for Speed: ProStreet. We do know, however, that not only have police chases returned, but the boys in blue appear to be driving... R34 Nissan GT-Rs. So if as the sultry voiceover in the trailers says, "This is all going to come crashing down," it looks like you'll have a whole lot of fun making rubble. Follow the jump for the video, and check out the Need for Speed site for a couple more. Thanks for the tip, catgirlshyla!

        My guess:

        City/Local = Crown-Victoria/Chevy Impala Sedan type car
        State = Dodge Charger
        Federal = Nissan GT-R

        well it's got the challenger's hood...... The rest looks nothing like any car I've seen...

      Underground was still the best
        • 6 Years Ago
        Underground was probably the worst game out of Need For Speed series while the following games (Most Wanted, Carbon) were mediocre at best. Need For Speed just wasn't what it used to be after Porsche Unleashed was released. Undercover looks quite promising though...

        there are both chevy camaro cops cars in this vid as well as r35. if you slow down the vid to the right spot you can see the camaro and the r35 in the same scene where the camaro gets smashed up against the wall

      Someone called it earlier, that other police vehicle could very well be the new mustang, but it also looks a lot like the Camaro. About 3/4th's of the way through in the trailer you can get a very good look at the entire car if you pause it just right.

      I hope that works out

      Hmmm... I wonder if it will be as glitchy and freeze-filled as Pro Street was.

      How does a new NFS game come out like every month when it takes 4 years for development of each Gran Turismo??
        • 6 Years Ago
        Because Gran tourismo uses these things called "physics" and "realism". Vehicle Dynamics is complicated enough but to generate a fairly true to life virtual model of that is awe inspiring.
        Need for speed (insert cheesy name here) is just an interactive cartoon. Good graphics though
      • 6 Years Ago
      While this looks pretty good, I know it'll be disappointment in the realism department... such a shame that NFS games went down hill after Porshce Unleashed. That game was great, the physics were really awsome for the time and the car models were amazing. I really hate that driving simulations are only set on racetracks these days... seriously, driving around the 'Ring and Laguna Seca gets boring after a while, there are only so many secods you can shave off your lap time before it becomes irrelevant.

      I hope this NFS has driving physics that can rival Forza 2 (I know this wont happen)... or better yet, Forza 3 features a city and/or some twisty public roads with lots of track combinations and more than one way to get to the finish line (sort of like it was in NFS Porsche Unleashed).

      Come on game developers, dont assume that people who want realistic driving are too geeky or whimpy to drive on public roads... poseurs dont deserve such cool graphics and tracks!!!

        i agree with the addition of real physics to street games but not with the fact that u think the games gonna suck. sure pro street was a dropped ball as was carbon unfortunately but even so it seems like for this game they are gettin back to waht was the best and thats most wanted, and the underground series.

      Jeebus! Bad ass movie or even more bad ass video game?!

      I doubt this will come out on my Wii... might have to get a 360 for this one.
        • 6 Years Ago
        The graphics on wii aren't that bad. just cartoony. Cars look ok though
        • 6 Years Ago
        It will come out for Wii.. just with crappy graphics.
        • 6 Years Ago
        No, you should probably get a ps3.
      • 6 Years Ago
      wow im speechless after that one... why do i get the feeling that SGT Cross from Most Wanted is going to be the main character? i mean anything is possible right?
      • 6 Years Ago
      its a car they shouldnt have shown for a few weeks......
        • 6 Years Ago
        I take it you're also thinking new Mustang.
      • 6 Years Ago
      I never really did like the Underground series, Carbon or ProStreet. Pretty much every other NFS game was awesome. I still play Porsche Unleashed every once in a great while. And if I am feeling nostalgic, I play the very first NFS. Most Wanted was actually better than I thought it would be.

      But this game looks awesome. Maybe the best NFS game so far? It may be.

      I am also happy cuz Christina Milian is in it :)
