Tanner tests his Top Gear skills on the Lambo Reventon

One-third of American Top Gear, Tanner Foust, spent a day in the Lamborghini Reventon, and here's his verdict: "Thumbs up big girl!" The fractional bit of additional horsepower didn't mean much to him, but he did say the brakes were more capable, and, surprise, the car is quite wide and people like to stare at it. After six hours on Italy's B-roads, that basically sums up his impressions. Since he didn't have too much to say in print, we really do hope he's saving the zingers for the show...

Lambo Reventon? Ever since Murcielago came out, I haven't seen brand "new" designs from Lamborghini. Cars such as Gallardo, Reventon seem like all they did is: Take the Murcielago -> change the front end slightly -> call it a new model.

Lamborghini's Reventon is sexy but it isn't a very big change from the Murcielago - and basically is the same as an LP640 minus the LCD screens on the dash.
I'd rather have a VEYRON for that kinda money. And what's really silly is that the reventon is being produced in such low numbers when that's the one people want most. You can get a used Murcielago with 10,000 miles for less than $100,000. Their time is almost up.
add to that, Audi's R8 costs $150,000 or less and is less troublesome to maintain.

Did people downvote you because they feel that the Reventon is not your car, but theirs? Because it's not. It's mine. BACKOFF!

Wow, I'm sure you are one of the twenty lucky ones in the world :P (like Mr. CORVETTEZR1???)
Oh and btw, Matt, you are lamer than Torrent

Figuratively speaking- It's my car. If I actually had a Reventon- I certainly wouldn't be wasting my time here! (No offense, AB...)

Tanner has been hanging out with Eric Stromer too much.

Without a comma, that sentence is a bit nasty. Perhaps the big girl in question needed a prostate exam??? We may never know...

@rav3
Women don't have prostates. But "thanks" for taking this in a direction it certainly did not need to go.

Of the three hosts the hired for Top Gear America, Foust makes the most sense. He does a good job on his "Supercars Exposed" show on Speed, and he'll bring a pro's (he's a champion drifter) opinion to the mix. But he isn't very witty. Hopefully, the Top Gear America writers will give him some funny things to say.

he's also not very knowledgeable. There are countless times on the show where it's very apparent he doesn't have a clue what's unique about a car or the companies linage (especially the show where he attempts to sell exotics). That's what bugs me the most about american top gear. Say what you want about jezza and the gang, they know cars, the industry and history. Every time i watch supercars exposed and foust says something stupid and wrong i'm about to just take it off record up until he actually says something intelligent about how the car drives. I get it's not fashionable in america to read anymore or be informed, though I hope he, and the rest of the cast, do/are otherwise I doubt it'll be all that worth while to watch.

Lets just hope it's not more of "Supercars Exposed", because that show is pretty terrible in it's own right.

Tanner's a good host from what I've seen of him from his show on Speed. He's definitely one of the reasons why i'm giving this show a chance, he knows his cars, drives well and is quick-witted.

He is the one part of Top Gear USA that I'm really not looking forward to. He has the on-air personality of wet cardboard.
