VIDEO: Hubinette's BFG Charger kicks like a mule

Pro motor sports may draw immense crowds, but on the boob tube, the football is king. That could be the reason Team Mopar and BFGoodrich utilized the pigskin in its latest TV ad showcasing controlled drifting. Hit the jump to see Samuel Hubinette pilot the Mopar drift Charger to and through a tee'd-up football as the rear quarter panel plays placekicker. Though not as cool as the commercial that shows Hubinette sliding the Charger through an aircraft hanger, it's definitely worth a look.

I've heard a lot of ignorant people say that drifting is easy, but that takes loads of skill. Impressive.

The same ignorant people who believe racing cars for a living is easy...
Fact is, the car control displayed there is spectacular, to keep the little stand (forgive me, in UK we don't have your "football") perfectly still and still hitting the ball.
At them angles and speeds it's absurdly difficult when drifting, and i wish people would understand how difficult it is to do what others do for a living before they pass such ridiculous judgement.

Spinning your tires in the easy part... It's the whole control thing a lot of people have trouble with.

The ball didn't go anywhere. There was no ball. Sweet drifting, not so sweet editing.

I changed my mind. There might be a football, but the file has been so compressed that frames get dropped out.

There is a football but it goes directly up rather than to the right, I saw it by repeatedly clicking the play/pause button as he approached the ball and it froze the screen on a frame after it was kicked and before it went off screen.

No field goal, not vid worthy. Sorry.

concurred. Great drift, fake kick. Let's see Chevy kick off the NFL season with a ZR1 doing that.

maybe if you guys saying "OMG EDITED" payed attention to the video, you would realise that the tee is in fact flipped over, providing evidence of there being a football, and that it was "punted" by the car.
bad ass video, hub is the man!!!
