Koenigsegg developing 700bhp four-door

We've seen stretched out exotics before, but Koenigsegg is reportedly planning on producing a model with four doors right from the factory. Carbon-fiber saloons from the Swedish automaker have been undergoing testing for the past two years, with the new model set to be debut in concept form at the Geneva Motor Show in 2010. Sales of the car are planned for 2011 with a sizable allocation destined for the U.S. The other big market for the brand is the Middle East, where much of the development money is said to have been sourced. Powered by a 700-horsepower V8 not shared with Koenigsegg's other exotics, the new super saloon is expected to surpass 200 miles per hour. Pricing would almost surely be higher than its closest rivals, the upcoming Porsche Panamera and Aston Martin Rapide, but lower than the marque's other carbon creations.

Got my ticket already man. I'll drive it for a day and sell it.

Me too, I'm afraid. But what a day! Just gotta avoid speed bumps. Wonder how much I could get for it... top prize is $1000000, if I could drive it and then sell it for something like that, I would be a happy camper.

I'm really looking forward to this one.
I'm sure it will be an out of this world proclimation of individual taste.
However I really can't imagine I will ever see one in person, on this continent that is.
P.S. I wonder if this will be a proper (for this automaker) sedan or a glorified 2+2 like the RX-8?

Why oh why are there supercars called Koenigsegg and Gumpert?

Because many people name car companies with their last name?
Ford(Henry Ford), Chevrolet(Louis Chevrolet), Ferrari(Enzo Ferrari), Lamborghini(Ferruccio Lamborghini), Honda(Soichiro Honda) etc.
Gumpert and Koenigsegg are the last names' of those companys' founders. Roland Gumpert and Christian von Koenigsegg respectively.
In all fairness, the Koenigsegg is a CCX and the Gumpert is an Apollo just like a Ferarri can be an F430, Testarossa, 308 etc.
But Italian names just seem to roll off the tongue better than others I guess.
Though I do think Koenigsegg sounds pretty cool, especially with Koenig translating to "King", not sure what the segg translates to, but it seems fitting for the car.

I wonder what size it will be equivalent to, C-Class, E-Class, or S-Class. A C-Class car with 700hp would be scary fast, not that the others would be slow by any means.
