Of all the places for Chevy reveal the 2010 Camaro SS, it's chosen a GM-sponsored photo spread for Conde Nast. The free supplement's zeitgeist is "Fashion Rocks" and in keeping with the theme, they've chosen the decidedly un-rocking Fergie as the musical icon to accompany the Camaro SS on glossy stock.

Comparing the image above with the pictures Chevrolet released last month, you can clearly see the SS badging, deeper fascia and upgraded brakes, reported to be sized 14-inches up front and clamped by calipers by Brembo.

The Camaro SS will be packing a 422 hp (estimated), 6.2-liter V8 and will go on sale in March of next year, along with the V6 RS models.

      1) Who cares what who they get to pose with it? The car SHOULD be able to stand on its own merit and it OBVIOUSLY cannot.

      2) The ORIGINAL Camaro was nothing more than Chevy's attempt to compete with the Mustang. [Check your history books, boys and girls. The 'Stang was produced first and Chevy's been chasing that pony's tail in the muscle car race ever since!]

      3) This really looks more like a late model Dodge or Chrysler (Ford affiliates) than an "updated" Chevy. It appears that the designers are doing nothing more than blatently copying a competitor's successful vehicle -- again.

      4) JUST like the Corvette, the Mustang and all the other TRULY great cars, there hasn't been a REAL Camaro produced since the (early) 1970s! The TRUE muscle car era is over. Some things just shouldn't be messed with any more.

Her name should be Fugly, because that's what she is.....

Anyway, the car is sick, but Fugly....erm- Fergie is not the right person for this event. Chevy, you've made at least 5 people in America now look at the Camaro SS as a chick car. Even Danica Patrick would have suited this role better.

BTW, I love the car, regardless. (see avatar)

It's an awesome car, though that's possibly it's most unfortunate front angle, the shot makes it look uber tall.

For you all who are going off about the new Camaro being a 'pig', keep in mind- Fergie is about 5'2", her waist level is about at some people's knees.

By the time that new Camaro finally comes out nobody will care. It will be a dud. Why does it take GM 5 years to introduce a Camaro.
