Monterey 2008: Four Bugatti Veyrons in one photo

Click above for high-res gallery of group of Veyrons
Starting with McCall's Motorworks Revival at the Monterey Jet Center on Wednesday night and ending with the announcement of the winner of the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance, we are pretty much on automotive overload after our weekend trip to Monterey. There are so many amazing automobiles in the same location at the same time that it would be nearly impossible to show you all the incredible cars we come across. Ferraris and Lamborghinis become regular cars in the Monterey Bay, seen at every stop light and Starbucks drive through. We were even starting to get used to seeing Bugatti Veyrons around town. There was one at the Jet Center party, two at Concorso Italiano including the Pur Sang, an Fbg Veyron by Hermes was at the Quail Lodge, and we witnessed the unveiling of the new Grand Sport version on Saturday night. All of that was topped on Sunday when Bugatti parked four Veyrons in front of the Pebble Beach Lodge. What's amazing is that we hadn't seen two of these four yet, bringing our total count for the weekend to seven. While it was hard to get them all in one photo because of the crowds, we managed to snap a few images of them all together that can be seen in the gallery below.

Is it just me or do two-tone Veyron's look really tacky. I mean if you're going to spend that much money on a car, wouldn't you want something that doesn't look like an 80's techno cd.

Not when you're rocking an 80's mullett like the dude in the first two pics.

Not a big fan of the look these cars in any color but I guess form had to follow function when you are making a car that sets land speed records, it's amazing it doesn't look like a cruise missile. I think that the two tone would look better in two shades of the same color like a dark candy red and then a deep black cherry. All under about a dozen coats of clear.

It's like Camrys at the mall... except a LOT nicer.

A very comfortable retirement, in four parking spaces...
Love the car and the engineering it represents, but that kind of money on a car is a bit overwhelming at times.

Only 4? I've got pics of 5 Veyrons together when I went to the Prescott Hill climb meet this year, that was an awesome site.

If this were taken in Dubai, there would be more "boohoo, those dumb a-rabs be gettin' rich off 4-dollar gas" comments.

Also the cars would be wrapped in leopard print graphics or airbrushed with the image of a legendary race winning camel.

"...it would be nearly impossible to show you all the incredible cars we come across."
You sure did try, though, didn't you? lol
I loved seeing all these cool cars from Monterey, but it would have been nicer if it wasn't 90% of Autoblog's content for the last week or so.

Our Monterey coverage averaged less than four posts per day, hardly 90% of Autoblog's content for the week. Many of the cars at the events realistically deserved their own posts, but we did our best not to overwhelm our readers. It's a shame you thought we overcovered the Monterey events because there was so much more we wanted to show you.

Drew, keep up the good work. The only problem I had was the difficulty picking out my new background. I settled on the Ferrari California's :D

You must be the only one who minded the reasonable number of articles....perhaps you should consider taking a day off......
Farris 3:41PM (8/19/2008)
I didn't mean to be offensive.... I did enjoy the pictures, it just seemed like it was a bit much. Actually, looking back, I think I was totalling Woodward and Monterey together...
I'm sorry.

It's alright. Thats one problem with the Internet, most of the time you are going to come across the wrong way to someone.
I, along with many other people I'm sure just hate it when people comment negatively when all they have to do is keep it to themselves or to just scroll past the articles they don't like.
No harm done though.

That's what I was thinking, a key scratcher's heaven.

I winced a little after reading that. Personally, I wouldn't buy one of these if I had the cash, but they are pure engineering bliss.
