Woodward 2008: Monday morning recap
If you're the type who disappears on the weekend only to spend your first hour of work on Monday morning going through all the posts you missed on Autoblog, well, then you missed a lot this past weekend. In addition to our extensive coverage of the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance and all the events that occurred in Monterey, we also took you to Detroit for the 2008 Woodward Dream Cruise. Below you'll find a comprehensive yet easy to navigate group of our posts and galleries from the Dream Cruise. Be warned, it may take longer than usual to absorb everything you missed this weekend, but it's absolutely worth it. Below you'll find booth tours for each of the Detroit Three, and there's lots more after the jump. Enjoy and we'll see you next year on Woodward Ave.

The magazine I work for is having a design contest based around the woodward dream cruise. If you took some killer photos, can write a story and lay it all out we are printing the best two-page spread we get in our next issue!

1.5 million people, 5000 cars, crusing Woodward ave (M1) from Detroit to Pontiac. About 30 miles of bumper to bumper classics, hot rods, trucks, and imports!

I was referring to the typo in the title of the article. I am very familiar with the Woodward Dream Cruise.

Kris, I think Jer referred to the spelling error in the headline.

John,
Amazing photography work this weekend. It was another great weekend with great weather.
Keep up the good work. You had me glued to my Blackberry all weekend checking out the pics.

I second the comments that were made by Dave. I brought my camera to Woodward this year, but your pictures were much much better!!!!!
The GM cruise was spectacular!!
Weather was perfect and I love how the Cruise is getting more and more diverse every year. I like seeing the old ones with the new ones side by side.

It was really neat to see how everyone was getting progressively fatter as I made my way South towards typical middle-class neighborhoods. After a while it was one soundtrack composed of beer farts and 67' Cudas.

Hey! what can I say, the best Dream cruise of the 8 that I have been to,however, what happened to the free bus rides up and down the cruise route? After all, I'll cruise in my Z28 until the traffic gets heavy then we park and do the cruise by bus.Man were my dogs were barking after walking 12 mile to 15 mile and back.Anyway this Canadian will be back each year until he's pushing up daisies.Long live the Dream Cruise.
