Woodward 2008: Watch your step, you might squash someone!
One of the cooler aspects of the Woodward Dream Cruise is that its completely open and unmoderated. It's the ultimate "run what you brung" event. Hundreds of thousands of people sit along the edge of the road and watch everything from bikes to trucks go by and the juxtaposition can be fascinating. Seeing a giant yellow high riding pickup truck with the front end of a Chevy Kodiak bearing down on a custom vinyl wrapped Smart is definitely an interesting sight.

I like the Kodiak MTE pickup. It may be a fuel hog, but it's much more interesting than the Smart.

I think monster trucks should pay higher insurance rates based on the extra damage and loss of life they cause in accidents. Better yet they should be banned altogether.
At least higher gas prices will dissuade this type of activity.

One rule when steering the "smart" transportation device is to never...never look over your shoulder no matter what is behind you; because there is nothing behind you. It takes "crush distance" to a whole new level. NO NO little smartie, you can't get 5 stars until you grow up.
