Woodward 2008: Cruising Woodward in the Gibbs Aquada

Click above for high-res gallery of the Gibbs Aquada on Woodward
As we made our along Woodward Avenue this morning we spotted what may be the ultimate "Cruiser" on the road today. Trolling along right in front of a golden Lamborghini Murcielago was a Gibbs Aquada. For those who haven't been paying attention the Aquada is the latest attempt at an amphibious car. Gibbs recently set up shop in Auburn Hills MI as they try to get this land and sea machine into production. In the meantime when this driver gets to the end of Woodward Ave, he can keep right on driving on into the Detroit River and cruise on.

Well, when the tunnel is backed-up and the Bridge is full of car-part-toting big rigs and you just NEED to get to Windsor to hit the casino, here is your car!

which completely renders it useless . . .
it's an amphibious car! way to display a complete lack of interest in the function of a car and base it all on looks. did you buy your miata because it came in pretty colors?
