Ferrari Scuderia Helmet as cool as actual car? No.
If you have the money, good taste, and connections to score the 510 hp F430 Scuderia, you likely know what the lightweight supercar from Maranello is capable of. When Ferrari decides to produce an exotic with 60 millisecond shifts and a 5.4 pound-per-pony ratio, you just know that it's track worthy. That means you're going to need something to protect your noggin when you head out to the road course. German helmet maker Schuberth Helme was commissioned to create head gear that exudes Ferrari coolness while also providing comfortable, lightweight protection for the driver. A quick glance at the photo above proves the mission was accomplished.
The helmet sports the dual racing strip of the Scuderia, and the exposed carbon fiber is good looking enough to negate the need for any manner of paint decoration. Four slotted air vents keep the head cool, and since the helmet is made of carbon fiber, its total weight is a little over two pounds. The helmet also sports a UV-protected visor to keep the sun out of your eyes, too. If you've got the money to spring for a Scuderia, you may as well go the extra mile and get one of the coolest-looking helmets on earth, regardless of the cost.

It is as cool as the car, cause if you have the helmet, chances are you also own the car.

Did I miss the price on this? I am guessing there is an unreasonably high price for this. Cool helmet though.

Definitely not as cool as the car. I think it's ugly and I don't like open face helmets. Looks more like a fighter pilot helmet.

Wow, just over 2 pounds, huh? That's not bad at all. A little lighter than my own helmet, lol, but I'm willing to bet this one costs more than $150, haha.

Didnt look cool in the 70's and making it carbon fiber does not help. Its a dated, old design and it sucks. No suprise Ferrari put their name on it, I am starting to think they don't even consider products anymore, just slap their name on any product handed to them.

Just for info...
This is a variant of the Schuberth J1 "jet" motorcycle helmet.
The only big difference is, that the CF shell is unpainted, and striped, and this, being associated with a car, doesn't have the chin-reinforcement bar. The J1 is a motorcycle helmet. (TUV and other euro certified, not DOT/Snell, and not offered in the US...)
Also, on the motorcycle version, the triangular indentations behind the face screen, around the 'temple' area are reflective, as would the Schuberth logo, and "J1" logos on the back of the helmet, for visibility on a bike in low light.
It appears not to be the case on this "car" helmet.
Interesting. I wish the J1 were offered in the US. A convertible helmet (raising chinbar) is nice, but it still is very constrictive, and very warm, like a full-face. This jet helmet,
"Jet" helmets used to be called half-helmets, or half-face, now refers to being like a military aviation helmet that is open, or with the use of a face-mask, rather than the helmet's shell protecting your chin and face.
The Schuberth J1 motorcycle version does have that structural hoop under the bottom of the face screen that does tie the sides of the helmet together, and serves as a bit more sliding protection for the face, than just the acrylic screen and nothing else.
Take a look at a review, and you can see that the design is the same, other than a few details.

The J1 looks like it should be worn by an NFL kicker circa 2050.

If I wanted a helmet I would buy a white one and add that to white racing overalls, like a certain very famous and very good tame racing driver
