London Motor Show Mega Post

Click any image above for a high-res gallery.
The British International Motor Show wrapped up earlier this week and although we weren't able to attend in person, we've assembled a sizeable gallery of live shots from the show floor. Unlike past shows in London, this year's event actually hosted some serious debuts, including the Lotus Evora, Honda OSM concept, Ford Focus RS, IFR Aspid, Renaultsport Megane R26.R, Lightning GT, a trio of Imprezas and the Opel Insignia. Some will make it Stateside, while others we'll adore from afar, but our gallery below is proof that London has come into its own. We're looking forward to next year's festivities and hopefully we can scrounge up enough scratch to make the trip across the pond.

It looks extremely good with the Vauxhall badge. Forget Saturn or Opel, bring over Vauxhall.

I think the Vx-badge makes it look too cluttered.
Also, I want a new commenting system where I can reply to the post I want to reply to as opposed to replying to the root post. Sorry about spamming your inbox, Joce03.

I'm liking that Honda OSM. Typical show car/concept styling cues abound, but there are some pretty useful and good looking designs in there too. IMO, that wouldn't be a bad template for the future corporate nose treatment. I'm not a fan of the current "shield" treatment at all.

That Focus is sweet... Ford is promising to bring a lot of the European models to the USA... Hope this is one of 'em!
As for the WRC Subaru (also pictured)... UGH! the old body style made a MUCH nicer looking rally car as well.

The Insignia is really a good looking car. But I would rock that Focus in a heartbeat.

Evora? Wasn't that the mean aunt in Bewitched? What was so wrong with Eagle that a couple of Proton bucks thrown at Chrysler (they need the funds) couldn't fix?

Did anybody else mistake the Honda as a Peugeot from the small picture? (I'm so ashamed that I did...)

The Focus RS and megane R26-R looked like the best cars there.
Lotus Evora is a stupid name for a boring looking car.
The Honda OSM looks like an Alfa Spider reject.
Impreza STi is still a pig, WRX-S is another dopey name... zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

evera looks like lotus used all the tweaks tesla made to their other chassis and then used it to make a whole new car, beautiful though

i think Ford needs to stop seeing the mustang as their only performance model. they killed the probe for this reason, but i hope the focus rs in the USA is a good start to forget fords way of thinking.

I have to agree the ford looks great. Does anyone know how well it handles?

If it handles half as well as the old Focus RS it will be amazing. I may have to replace my ST with this.

Even in itty-bitty thumbnail mode the pics of the Insignia caught my eye. If GM changes one centimeter of this beautiful car before making it the next Aura they are insane.
