Autoblog Podcast #102

It's late, we know, but we're not a host short like last week! Chris, Sam, and Dan kick it about what's in the Autoblog Garage, the 2010 Camaro unveiling and other stuff that the Camaro overshadowed. What could possibly hold a candle to the Camaro officially rolling into that garage bay? Not much, but we touched on Honda's Prius

If you guys actually paid bloggers a decent salary, I might consider accepting his proposal.

I don't think I'm the only single autoblogger, but thanks for noticing boys. And thanks for stirring things up on the homefront. Figures this would be the only podcast she's ever listened to. Besides trying to appease the bread lady, I'm also looking at Help Wanted ads as we speak. :(

Almost like the Autoblog Green podcast. Come on guys, the main news was the Camaro reveal. 422hp and 408tq of tire smoking pony car and we hear, turbo four, mild hybrid, who needs more power (speaking to the V-6) and fuel economy more than anything else. I swear I hear Prius mentioned at least 30 times.
I’d bet money we’ll definitely see a SC LSA within two years along with a possible four.

Enjoyed the podcast. The new Autoblog podcast crew is golden - so much better than the old stuff and beats Engadget's blah blah worthless blah podcast.
I don't see how a turbo 4 is a viable motor for a 3,700 pound car. Turbo lag? How is the mileage going to be so great? Seems mileage is driven much more by weight than by cubic inches.
#1 reason I don't see buying a Camaro: worse mileage than my '01 Z06
#1 reason why I would buy one: Even better than driving a first-gen Camaro. Gorgeous!

I'm listening to the Podcast and just don't understand why they are so anti-Toyota. Toyota provides what sensible people want in vehicles: Great Vehicles that will drive you to where ever you want to go. Comparing a (BMW) Mini Cooper to a Prius just doesn't make ANY sense. You buy a Mini to try and look cool and a Prius to get great mileage and to have a better impact on the environment. C'mon guys, understand the car for what it is. Not everyone wants (or needs) a 'sports' handling car that you can't (or shouldn't) drive to it's limits on the public streets. Get Real!
