PRESS RELEASE
Becker Automotive Design Partners with STRUT to create Custom Escalade Limousine
Becker Automotive Design, Inc., known globally for their unique custom limousine and coach conversion vehicles, has partnered with bespoke custom automotive designer STRUT to create a special-edition Cadillac Escalade ESV for Becker's exclusive global clientele.
The new Becker/STRUT Cadillac Escalade ESV combines an unmatched blend of privacy and European luxury interior craftsmanship with cutting-edge mobile office capabilities in a floor-to-ceiling custom-leather interior designed for comfort, convenience, and ergonomic utility. Integrated into the vehicle is an impressive Apple iPod® ready audio-video system featuring satellite HDTV, DVD, and digital surround sound that yields picture and sound quality rivaling those of any high-end home audio or theater system. Becker has chosen only the finest high-end components from Alpine, JL Audio, LG, Dynaudio, and other manufacturers, all controlled by a custom Crestron touchscreen using proprietary Becker Automotive Design software.
While the Becker/STRUT Escalade ESV offers luxurious accoutrements, it's as ready for work as it is for play, with a sophisticated onboard computer system, broadband Internet connection, and full printer/scanner functions. Better still, whenever the ignition key is engaged, this superb mobile office automatically "smart boots," and elegantly shuts down when the key is removed before exiting the vehicle.
The exterior of the Escalade ESV features a custom-crafted, and meticulously tooled jewelry collection from STRUT featuring a woven, diamond-mesh front grille and surround with matching side vents, all created from the finest stainless steel available and highly polished for style and durability that will withstand all weather conditions. Each piece in the collection bears the distinctive STRUT shield announcing to all that this vehicle stands apart from the crowd. Completing the Becker/STRUT Escalade ESV signature collection is a set of Icon Wheels, also by STRUT.

Windows XP? That's weak!

And the current consumer demand is going where?
If you're talking about the "sophisticated onboard computer system", then I'd say that it was smarter than slapping a Vista inside.

Like this would be in demand right now.

People buying Escalades, not to mention this particular model, don't care about gas prices. Of course gas prices and oil per barrel are currently dropping, contrary to the "6 dollar a gallon by end of summer crowd" that likes to jump in threads about gas cost.

Indeed. I hate when people with these types of vehicles complain about gas prices, because it is obvious that those people really should not be driving such vehicles. They are probably those people with 0 down, a 60 month loan at high interest and barely keeping up with their monthly payment while living in a terrible apartment that barely keeps the rain out.
Or people who pawn their wedding rings so they can "make the next payment on mah rreeeaaams"

" They are probably those people with 0 down, a 60 month loan at high interest and barely keeping up with their monthly payment while living in a terrible apartment that barely keeps the rain out. "
... Exactly. This is a huge problem with our country at this point. Everyone feels they're entitled to a luxury vehicle, a raised truck, a bigger house, and/or an Italian wardrobe. It doesn't make sense. From an economic standpoint, luxury vehicles are for wealthy people who don't need to and would most likely know better than to lease. Leasing a luxury vehicle doesn't necessarily make sense... Paying interest for a depreciating luxury good?

I am practically choking on my own tongue while typing this, but that is actually pretty tastefully done. The grill might be a little much, but the interior actually looks good and is devoid of the usual limo Vegas disco nightmare treatment.

I don't really even see the humor in that.
I see insensitivity. That's what I see.

i think what he means is stereotypical "Ghetto" people/ Sports players only but this. If you didnt realize it was a joke.
P.S. Thanks for killing it!

Very Rolls or Bentleyesq interior appointments. Like Makfu said, not too overdone, but classy. I'd love to ride in that to work everyday.

When I clicked on the interior photos I expected to be underwhelmed, instead I'm very impressed.
Not only is it tasteful, it even looks rich. That Escalade is certainly Presidential limo quality.

Agreed. I can't imagine this selling well.
If a lot of that chrome were erased it would be suitable for business applications. (That interior is gorgeous.)
I don't understand why it's an SUV, though. SUVs don't provide a very comfortable ride (especially on turns) compared with a sedan/saloon.
G-Meister 9:37AM (7/25/2008)
user- you've never been in a new 'Slade then- swallows any bump and corners just fine. Think of it this way- A RR Phantom has more in common with a large SUV than any "standard passenger car"
Andrew 9:34PM (7/24/2008)
I gotta say, I kinda like it. If you wanted something really nice inside, but not as flashy as a Rolls, why not this? I'd take mine with stock rims and grill, actually. Maybe even based on a Yukon XL Denali instead, to be even less conspicuous.
