Top Gear has had its fair share of mishaps. There was that time the Stig took the Koenigsegg CCX on an off-track excursion, and of course Hammond's horrific crash in the jet dragster. The latest incident involves the one and only Nissan GT-R press car in Great Britain. Apparently it was involved in a fender bender in the Isle of Man after a photoshoot for Top Gear magazine. It seems that the GT-R wasn't damaged too badly, despite the pic of its naked arse above, and the same exact car ran up the hill at the Goodwood Festival of Speed only a couple days later.

Check out our own just-published review of the 2009 Nissan GT-R. We managed to keep our press car in one piece.

I have heard it was run into by a R8. I could be mistaken though.

Maybe they were doing a 5mph bumper test and didn't tell anybody. It is kind of nice to see a "behind the scenes" look at the rear end, and that sure is a masterful looking exhaust it has.

I'd rear end one just to get a closer look at it :D

yeah, who could be interesed in this lowly datsun. the only thing this datsun GT-R has it going it those fancy gizmos and that shinny TV on the dash. i mean any car can beat a lowly Racing VW with a Shield logo on the hood, or car with blue and white logo that looks like a chess board with a sesame street ad on it.

        (its called sarcasm BTW)

Hey! it's only sheet metal; but, expensive sheet metal, I'll bet.
If you work it right you could lose the bondo on the first turn, lighten the car and improve your lap time.
Bumper covers are usually plastic. The metal looks pretty much okay.

What's Bondo going to do to it's 'ring time!?
