Spy Shots: Honda NSX interior caught at the 'Ring

We've seen plenty of shots of the Honda/Acura NSX hangin' 'round the 'Ring, but unlike previous photos, the crew at Cartribe was able to catch a brief glimpse of the cloaked mule's interior. A clearer view of the gauges reveals a clean chronograph-like arrangement, with large numerals framed by chrome rings. Although the rest of the dash is covered by camera-proof camo, the three-spoke, flat-bottom steering wheel and integrated switchgear certainly speaks to the V10-powered super coupe's intentions. We're hoping to see the next NSX debut during the upcoming show season, reportedly packing over 500 hp and sending power to all four wheels.

Yoda sez, "mmmpressed I am." I like it, but what is the suspected price point?

A great disturbance at the "N" I feel... as if millions of records, suddenly destroyed. Actually, if this thing is a V10 as reported and it's currently not up to par with the GT-R and ZR-1 in "N" time, then I'd say it's actually quite disappointing. I'm sure it'll be "fine tuned" to get much better numbers... it has to...

i saw 10k RPM on the meter~ sweet. a V5.5 V10 that can revs up to 10K is a great engineering achievement. but again, i expect nothing less from Honda.

Looks to be about an 8400 or so rev limiter, though I'm starting to wonder if it has a lower displacement than we originally thought. Wonder what the fuel cut off is.
Khanmots 6:31PM (7/16/2008)
Looked like the redline is around 8500... but I may just be seeing a reflection. (Hit the carscoop link, open up the first picture of hte dash, then zoom to about 300%)
But still... V10 with a redline in the 8-9k range? Wow.

It's got a dash mat that doesn't fit right. Still, there will be no cracks from the sun, and that's all that counts.

The new Honda NSX and Lexus LS-A looks so ordinary.
For me the "ugly" looking Nissan GT-R is so unique and it so well
distinguished itself from the crowd of its competitors. Is is like
Porsche 911 it looks different and unique.

I kind of agree. They look so...conventional whereas the GT-R is purpose-built ugly, but unique.
Porsche - however - are just too old school - except the Panamera which, in brown, will look like what it is.

I agree. Both the next NSX and LF-A are bland. Now that the NSX's got BMW-like gauges, it's even worse than expected.
I don't mind Honda bringing us a new FR car. Just don't name it NSX. NSX should be reserved for a MR car.
The more I look at this ugly thing, the more I miss my 03 NSX.
Red 3:14AM (7/17/2008)
@ ken_aisin,
The only people calling it the "NSX" are you and the media. Honda has never gone on record of actually calling this car "the NSX". "NSX successor", yes. But never "NSX".
William_1991 7:34PM (7/16/2008)
I love this thing(we don't know for sure if it's really the NSX because please God, NSX brand should rest until something MR and so well worked like it is appear, nothing FR just to they say we won the lap time with the same type of car) and the LF-A, and i think i prefer something like this than a GT-R, i don't care about the ring lap time(ok, just a litle bit...) but an Honda V10 with so many revs....in real life should sound like something diferent, just wow, and the LF-A, shouldn't be very beind, a V10 co-worked with Yamaha....i think i'm dreaming...

tru......
Not Worthy to carry the NSX nameplate. The design alone failed the appearance test.
