VIDEO: 2009 Maserati Quattroporte inside, out and upside down
Last week we brought you the first batch of images and details on the new Quattroporte and Quattroporte S from Maserati. Since we've received requests from several Autoblog readers that we give them a heads-up on events we're attending, and as eager as we always are to please, we're headed off next week to Europe to sample the latest from the master motor craftsmen at Maserati. Until we get a chance to drive and report on the newest offering from the stoic Trident marque, we offer up this video that conveys the new Quattroporte from every angle and in all its beauty. Follow the jump to watch.

Very nice. They look especially sinister in black, in person.
I am not sure that stoic is the correct adjective for Maserati, though.
Perhaps compared to Ferrari, they are less flamboyant, but Maserati hardly seems more staid and monolithic than brands like MB, Bentley, or Rolls, or even Maybach. Maserati might even be a little more "racy" than the Audi A8.
Sorry, but a ferrari engine under the bonnet, and a rear mounted sequential-automated gearbox and italian style hardly seem stoic, even if it isn't over-the-top outrageous, either.

Definitely the best looking 4-door available. And it didn't even have to be a gimmicky "four door coupe". It's a classic design, and slightly aggressive. Of course I feel the same way about the XJ that gets no respect.
I suppose this is where Lincoln got the idea for the MKS tail lights. Either this or a Kia. Somehow they work fine here and don't look cheap. The Lincoln definitely should have had the signature Lincoln tail lights a la MKZ. But I digress.

Most beautiful profile of any four-door in the world right now (until Aston Rapide comes out, I hope), just love the long-ish bonnet and the three small vents down the side

QUE BELLA MACCHINA!!! (What a beautiful car!)
They are not terribly rare in Beverly Hills, so I have enjoyed seeing them pass by, often in a sharp metallic color. So far, they keep on passing by, not turning in to my garage, lol -- maybe it's because I only drive through BH, don't live there.
AS FAR AS "STOIC" --- may I request that the writer spends a week studying the Dictionary, and send ME to Italy for the drudgery of testing Maseratis. If there is ANYONE or ANYTHING "stoic" in Italy, it might be a foreigh-born Nun. If you substituted "storied", the sentence would be correct -- maybe you meant that.
