VIDEO: First episode of Top Gear Season 11 is out!
After yet another incredibly long break, Clarkson, Hammond and May have returned for the 11th season of Top Gear. The first episode aired last night on the Beeb and, as expected, the entire show has been posted on YouTube, broken up into six different clips. Hit the jump to see the dynamic trio race an M3 against a Prius, introduce a new character into the lineup, create their own interpretations of the ideal police car, test the Ferrari F430 Scuderia and work their way through the "news" that's piled up during their hiatus. The BBC isn't too keen on having their content floating around the You-powered Tubes, so if the videos posted below the fold aren't around by the time you make the jump, there are always other sources to get your fix.

Hammond's police car is the funniest thing I've seen for a long time, well maybe not but it is funny all the same. The thing with the Prius is spot-on.

Why does the BBC care if the show is on YouTube? It not like they are losing advertising revenue. All the financing for the show comes from the taxes right? Or does the show profit for the creators with a nice subsidy from the taxpayers? Nice system for the creators, not so nice for the taxpayers.

We have to pay a licensing fee each year that pays for the BBC, how is it fair on us that you can just watch it for free online?

Ain't like we're seeing it in 1080i HiDef, and listening to it in 5.1 Dolby Surround or anything, its a grainy small video with crappy audio on (mostly) tiny computer monitor screens.

We have to pay a taxes each year and a non-insignificant chunk of them goes to NASA, how is it fair on us that you can just see all the pretty space pictures for free online?

Got my torrent downloaded today morning and it was ok episode nothing epic. That stunt thing has to go...
I dont mind star in a reasonable priced car, but this time they where just sucky(hardly Top Gears fault thought) Dont wanna spoil it all so i'll just say that the last part of the show was solid.
There's better episodes coming like Japan special with GT-R and so on. Can't wait!

normally i dont mind the star in a reasonably priced car segment at all (in fact, it's usually pretty enjoyable), but this time around, the two so-called stars ruined it for me. they were terrible in every way.

this is just one opinion of many, but i didnt enjoy season 11's first ep all that much. and especially zero enjoyment from the star in a reasonably priced car segment. i skipped through that section like the plague.
but yes, the police car bit was loads of fun. looking fwd to the gtr vs the bullet train. sweet!

i alwyas skip over that crap. Even when it's someone i have actually heard of, its still painfully boring. Instead, they should just do "review of a reasonably priced car" in that 7-10 minutes.

Some of the references are a bit local, but if you speak English, you should hunt down some Steve Coogan shows like "Knowing Me Knowing You with Alan Partridge." Know the genius that is Steve Coogan.

Wow, wow, wow, OK I finally agree the US version will never be as good as the UK version. There is no way anyone will EVER get away with saying anything bad about a Prius on NBC/GE (ecomagination)! How dare Clarkson say a Prius does more economical damage than a LandRover! LOL. I remeber when Boston Legal said the same thing and was crucified for it! Love it!
