Ultimate bling: Saudi man chromes his Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano
Click above for high-res gallery of this reflective 599
For some Ferrari faithful, every prancing horse that comes out of the factory should be painted in red. Yellow, black, blue and grey are just plain heretical, and perhaps that's why some of the purest Ferraris, the F40 and 288 GTO, were only offered in red. Well, if anything but Rosso Corsa bothers you, then this particular Ferrari will give you the shivers. We can't imagine what inspired this Saudi Arabian Ferrari owner to chrome his 599 GTB Fiorano, but it definitely reflects his personality. We also have to wonder if it helps keep the car cooler in the hot sun. No matter his reasoning, he's guaranteed himself plenty of looks.

I am not a racist person, but the total extravagant lifestyle of some of the middle east while the rest perish in extreme poverty and the fanatical religous people are really starting to irk me. They have most the Veyrons. They have all our gas money. They want to buy the Chrysler building.
UGH. If it wasn't for their oil they'd be dirt poor and we wouldn't even deal with them.

Hey Vintage...
Are you talking about the middle-east, or Texas?

I like it! It's kinda cool! Illegal in the US but cool!

In my heart, I know it's tacky. But damn, at the same time, I can't help but think that looks cool.

Really? I think he should be taken outside and shot for his crimes against machinery.

I agree. It's odd but it really doesn't look that bad. Looks like a show car on the auto show circuit. It's certainly flashy and very look at me but then again what Ferrari isn't. :)

Yup. It actually reminds me of a "Canadian Wiggler" crankbait I used for fishing when I was young. Fully chrome.
I think I bought it because I couldn't take my eyes of it...yet didn't catch any fish with it. I think I wouldn't have that problem catching "fish" with this bait though.. ;)

Thought blinging that out would be the worst idea ever but it actually looks nice.

Likely that's not chrome, but rather the flexible paint that was developed that looks like chrome. There was an Audi done the same way for another middle-eastern oil tycoon. I would think that this would be illegal to drive, or at least very dangerous.

Ya that was an all Aluminum Audi A8L. They stripped the paint and polished the Aluminum.

I was wondering about the safety part, especially in a sunny place like Saudi Arabia. I would think at some parts of the day it would either completly blind the driver or drivers of other cars. Now at night, It would look cool driving in a city with all the building reflections.
I guess he felt chrome rims woudl just be too tacky!
The car of choice for the Silver Surfer!
Must use lots of Brasso.

Well thanks for taking all the clever comments, Pacman.

Yes, it was a MTM Tuned Audi S8. Quite an impressive car.
Its probably the same dude.

They even did a car up with that paint on an episode of pimp my ride. You can find it on youtube I bet.
BigMcLargeHuge 9:13AM (6/13/2008)
Sir, could you please turn down your paint?
