Spy Shots: Really Long-Wheelbase Bentley Arnage

While Bentley continues to achieve sales success with its Continental line of cars that includes the GT, Flying Spur, GTC and new GT Speed, the upper-level Arnage line has been left to get by on its old world charm and bespoke everything hand-built construction. We showed you some spy shots of the next-gen Arnage back in April that suggests Bentley may position the next-gen Arnage as a direct competitor to the Rolls-Royce Phantom, and whether that's the case or not, the next Arnage will most certainly continue catering to the wealthiest 1% of the world. A super extra long version of the Arnage was recently spotted by KGP photographers with an extra 18 inches of wheelbase, and while Bentley already offers the LWB Arnage RL model, this particular car eclipses that and then some to firmly land in limousine territory. In other words, it's not a car drive, it's a car in which you're driven. Whether this mule is based on the current model or actually hiding some hardware for the next-gen model isn't known, but either way it shows just how interested Bentley has become in attracting the chauffeur-driven crowd.

I could waste my time by saying "First", but the bigger question is how long has the Arnage been around? Its time for a full redesign, no?

I second that. WTF? It's been around for longer than my friend's little sister. I've seen her for 10 years. In 3, she will be more or less the same front and back[+a few curves]. Just a bit bigger. Just like this Bentley.

i think the camo job is great (sarcasm), what better way to disguise a vehicle is there, than making it look like it's 20 years out of date.
I'm really hoping this car is just a testbed for a new engine, not a body style.

They're not aimed at the wealthiest 1% but rather the wealthiest .001%.

Wait a second... why couldn't that arnage just be a mulliner? I mean, damn, it even mentions something like this as a possibility in the link:
"Or it could be as radical as an entirely new body-style, extended wheelbase or a fully-functional mobile office."

And the bottom 1% of the IQ barrel. Most of the world's smarter snobs have been passing up this $230,000 British parody of the Lincoln Town Car for the Bentley with real (read: German) engineering, the $175K Continental Flying Spur.
