Suzuki Wagon R, Stingray Limited editions intro'd in Japan

In Japan, Suzuki expects the Wagon R to eclipse the 3,000,000 units sold milestone this month. To commemorate, it has launched Limited versions of both the Wagon R and its Stingray variant (whose front-end styling looks very similar to the old Toyota bB). The new limited edition variants give Japanese drivers slightly flashier boxes in which to transport themselves. Among the features included in the cars' special packages are new grilles and foglamps, Alcantara-covered seats, leather-wrapped steering wheels with silver contrast stitching, and rearview mirrors with LED turn indicators. The 660cc kei-spec engine is untouched, and the cars can be ordered beginning today. Prices range from ¥1,115,000 for the 2WD Wagon R to ¥1,314,600 for the 4WD Stingray. Needless to say, we want both.

So is GM suing them for using the Stingray name?

ya know, the Astro Van is supposedly the inspiration for the xB.
Of course, you know, any box could make that claim.

Stingray w/diesel & 6-speed manual, please. While I'm dreaming, might as well slide the steering wheel over for the USDM while you're at it - thanks Suzuki!

why does everyone insist on using a letter to signify something different, especially the 'R' , GT-R, Type R, Wagon R, M, IS-F, etc.

I'm pretty sure it's a play on the word Wagoner. WagonR.. Wagoner. Those Suzuki people, pretty clever.

Its been the R wagon for years is absolutely correct, My Uncle had one, it had a 1.3 motor and was very roomy, fold down the seats and you could haul large furniture in it...
This K car is cute, give it a 1.3 and it might sell in the states.
I love some of Suzuki's designs this one included.

Where Scion could have gone instead, Toyota turned them into a barge left floating along a dirty canal.

My favorite of the Kei vehicles was the Dhiatsu Tanto. Wish they sold 'em here. They look like pull-back penny racers.
