What the hell you complaining??? Here in Malta, Europe, price of petrol is nearly twice!
Your price is nearly how much it was here back in 1992. you have nothing to worry about since your government may still release its internal oil reserves to saturate the market and drop the price of fuel, at least for a short period of time.
I believe the world will never be oil-independent since there are interests preventing it from so. Otherwise its the only wise decision, for the rest for us Non US countries.
