But will it be able to haul a Harley or two? Is a ramp included?

SIXTY GRAND???
Don't most commercial uses of this truck NOT want some other company's trademark on them?
And what private citizen harley fan wants an F'in-450!??
An F150, or maybe 250 SD, but a 60 grand 450?
What was that previous news about the economy in a down-turn, and non-essential purchases being curtailed?

You'll see these parked dowtown with shiny unscratched beds and racing down the freeway with one person in it and nothing in the bed.
These are an indulgence for contractors and mega sized truck fans.

I've seen one of the previous models pulling out of the lot of the high-end condos near us... I think the driver was a professional athlete (probably hockey player), so there's your market right there. (ie. Guys who want the biggest baddest truck more than they want something like a Porsche, given the same amount of money...)

This will certainly pull Ford into profitability.

Why would you build this? I bet this thing will be back on the used car lot with a 25,000 dollar price tag in no time.

a harley davidson weighs 22,000 pounds now? seems a bit much. certainly they must... why else would you need an F-450?
10MPG... nice.

Great looks, bad idea.... I'll est. 8 MPG Highway, and I'll also pass on the truck itself.....
And why is almost every new Ford/Lincoln sighting on this same block-seemingly in the same driveway? I've seen a lot of unreleased Ford/Lincoln products on this same street on Jalopnik.

I'd have to say it has to do with a company employee living in that area. Hence why you'd see a number of the same family of vehicles(Ford, Lincoln etc.).
It just seems that the photographers have found out where said person lives and stakes it out for new stuff.

I love remarks when these articles come up. While you may not believe it... people actually USE their trucks. I see tons of F350/F450's pulling 30-40 foot car trailers/horse trailers/toy haulers all the time. Out in the desert you NEED trucks this big to pull some of those trailers. Now, if someone has the money to do it in style... all the power to them

Dude, NICE! I was considering picking up an elise and an F-150, but what a beauty! I will gladly sell my Z06 or 911 for this gorgeous masterpeice in craftsmanship. Ford, will you ever fail to impress me? Surely, no?
In all seriousness, cant we just get the mondeo or the new capri stateside instead of this trash? Is the Harley Truck line REALLY that profitable with us americans crying about 4 USD a gallon of regular?

Adding blue flames, different seats and a couple badges to a work truck you already make - make a thousand of every day - really isn't much of an investment on Ford's part.
And if people with more money than modesty want to pay $10,000 for those $1,500 in trim bits, Ford would be stupid not to take that money.
Why don't posts about 80K eurotrash sedans draw this kind of venom?
King of Pasadena 1:36PM (5/30/2008)
It's a diesel. At least $5.30 around here, last time I checked, and climbing fast. You can make the older ones run used veggie oil, but I think the 6.4 might be a little more picky.
Cool if you need to haul stuff, but I predict that most of these will stay shiny. Hey, we've got plenty of oil left, right?

The payload capacity of a properly equipped F-450 4x2 is 6120 lbs. If the average, properly equipped Harley weighs in at 700 (just a guess???), you could put 8.75 in the box if you could figure out how to get them in. Ramp not included. (tho' at 60-large is should be.)

When the original HD-branded truck was released Motorcyclist Magazine reviewed it and noted that the bed wasn't large enough for any bike in HD's line. I don't expect this one will be able to carry any Harleys either.
These are for many of the same people that buy Harleys because they have money and want to buy an attitude. Practicality doesn't enter the equation for many people.

The definition of insanity, or more accurately, stupidity in the American car company's case is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.

More like $60k a year to fill up the tank.

I own an '08 super duty that avgs. 22 mpg @ highway speeds. 16 mpg around town. I bet it's about par with your, pass everything but a Walmart, Chevette.
I have the abiltity to pull my 30ft 5th wheel while having cleaner emissions than most cars. 45K & the inside of my tailpipes are still spotless.
It's the same reason why Mercedes cost what they do..you get what you pay for.
