Autoblog Podcast #95
For Autoblog Podcast #95, we mix it up again, and this time Chris Shunk has corralled Alex Nunez and Sam Abuelsamid. We're using our time honored format -- we hit the Autoblog Garage first (some awesome stuff in it recently), then move on to news. We hit some nuggets like the LF-A crash, the Chevy Volt subsidies fight in Congress, and $10 airbags, to name a few. It all wraps up with some listener emails, one of our favorite parts of the podcast. We'll take the 'cast for another spin next week, thanks for listening! SUBSCRIBE to the Autoblog Podcast in iTunes

Just downloading the Podcast now, looking forward to listening to it while out for a jog. I find the length of the 'cast corresponds nicely with my tolerance for cardio!

I disagree with the low volume sports cars getting fined for CARB requirements.
I don't think they should. I think this discourages small manufactures to make a good product at a good price. It prevents startups to come out of their garages to make an impression on the marketplace.

Thanks for listening to the podcast... if you always agreed with us, it'd be no fun, and we don't always agree either. Alex agrees with you. I personally think EVERYBODY that doesn't meet the requirements should be fined equally... automakers and vehicle owners. People that afford Lambos don't exactly drive them constantly, but many of them also own other vehicles that likewise aren't exactly fuel-sippers. Land Rovers, Escalades, S-Class, etc.
I'm sure there are plenty who disagree with me, but that's OK.

I listened to it again on my way to work. This is the first time I've heard your podcast. It looks like I have 94 more to listen to before next week to catch up.
I wish you guys spent more time on the Audi R8 and less on the Nissan Cube. However, it was funny picturing Alex's avitar (since I don't know what he looks like) driving around in a cartoonish car with no factory stereo and an old portable in the glove box.
One other suggestion before I flip out and start running Prius's off the road while I listen to the podcast: Stop saying "youknow" so much as a filler word...
Thanks.

Actually, Lloyd, I really am one of those ubiquitous NYC greek coffee cups...

Good show. CoD4 idea isn't bad. Also what's Sam's diesel "thing" mentioned at the very end. Does it have to do with Honda? VW? I'm intrigued.
