Think something along the line of inexpensive fun of the 2nd gen RX-7 with the convenience that the current RX-8 offers. Direct injection and the different combustion chamber they are going to use will allow it to have a higher compression ratio as well. Basically its going to be badass. I thought they reason they have abstained from an all-aluminum motor had to do with the thermal expansion that would take place between the rotor housings and front/intermediate/rear plates, no? If they did go all-aluminum, though, can you think of how light it would be? My FC3S "block" (if you want to call it that) weighs right under 200lbs with nothing but the motor. Just think of the weight savings with all-aluminum housings and plates. Then use aluminum TB's, intakes, etc (which I'm sure they do now...I'm stuck in the '86-'92 generation :D)...wow, talk about a screamer.
