You know, I _was_ going to come in here and bitch about "litigation instead of innovation" and all that, but seeing as how Ford's design is only covered by a (completely sane and fair) 14-year patent (instead of 50-years or something), I won't.

Only a 14 year patent? How long do you drive your cars for!?
I'm all for legitimate patents and all, but if Ford is just trying to prevent aftermarket parts from existing for the Mustang that's total BS. What's the design patent on the lens, a Ford patented circle?
There's probably some stuff they should demand licensing for or something, but a lot of parts are likely not patentable at all.

I seriously drive a car that's 20 years old. Know a lot of other people who do, too. :P
