If any body here knows anything about marketing you will realize it is a Corvette.
GM realized that most people are very critical of the Corvette so they made a deal with Ferrari to actually build the Vette, but they will call it a Ferrari. That way all the car nut magazines and car nuts will scream how wonderful the new Ferrari is. But GM will know that it is really a Corvette.
Well something like that.

Why in God's name would Ferrari feel the need to partner with Chevy? Ferrari's inital problem with slating a car below the F430 was tarnishing the value of the brand. A Chevy-Ferrari cumulative effort would only compund that effect. This whole idea kind of contradicts your exlamation of your vast knowledge of marketing. Somebody needs to go back to B-school...
