Apparently, they do call it "speed hump", instead of "speed bump".....

At least around here, the DOT actually has different criteria (size and height) for a speed bump compared to a speed hump. The later is larger, requiring people to slow more. There were several of the Speed Hump signs placed a long a road near a local high school, but kids kept stealing them...

There is a speed hump sign about a half a block before my driveway. It makes a good landmark for giving directions, and always good for a laugh.
