All these plans and "gimmicks" are only as good as long as the company actually stays in business and doesn't go OOB. $2.99 for 3 years, life time warranty, all are great ideas, but how much is Chrysler making on each car that they offer these things and can actually sustain anything through the life of the car. I know, that if I buy a Chrysler, I will have the piece of mind of lifetime on powertrain, but I KNOW FOR SURE, that I will pay a trip to the dealer at around 90K to get either the engine or transmission done and I'll lose a week here and there on repairs. If they go under in five years, then I'm stuck with a very big paper weight.
