Very clever. If gas averages $3.50/gal for the next three years, and you buy 50 gal per month (1,000 miles/mo at 20 mpg), this program saves you $300 per year. Total cost to Chrysler: $900.
If gas prices go ballistic, this is a pretty sweet deal. But I'd say it indicates that Chrysler believes gas will stay in the $3-4 range for a while.
