All things considered, the NSX at $60K back then is what the GT-R is at $70K now. Granted, things have changed significantly and the cost of materials and manufacturing processes has certainly changed. For example, the NSX was the world's first all-aluminum, monocoque-bodied car, which is all but common place on sports and exotics.

However, when either NSX then or GT-R now is being compared to Ferrari's costing .5-1.2 times as much, I think it's most certainly a fair comparison.

That said, I think it may be possible to see this car for even around $100K-120K. People talk about the GT-R in comparison, but it's difficult to compare a Nissan to an Acura. Being an Acura, the company can afford to spend more money on different materials and processes that Nissan can't at a certain price because people will pay more for those materials. That is in no way a knock against Nissan. But if and when Nissan chooses to create an Infiniti version, they'll do the same because that car would be a hypothetical "halo" car for its luxury marquee.
