Alfa Romeo undoubtedly offers some of the most beautiful cars available. While we're anxiously awaiting the storied Italian brand's return to the U.S. market, those in Europe get some added reason to place the aging Spider on their shopping lists. The new Limited Edition model comes equipped with heated seats swathed in Italian Frau® leather upholstery and Alfa's Blue&Me™ (no, we're not making these names up) voice recognition hands-free system. Available in four color combo's and equipped with pretty 19-inch alloys, nobody is likely to kick the LE out of their garages. No power increase is present, but considering that at £25,500, all of this added goodness comes at no extra cost, we don't expect to hear too much complaining. Besides, this car is really meant to be seen in, so the zip-to-sixty sprint of just under nine seconds is likely good enough anyway.

ALFA SPIDER – MORE FOR LESS THIS SUMMER
Perfectly timed for summer, Italian sporting car manufacturer, Alfa Romeo, has extended the head turning Alfa Spider range with a limited edition version. Complete with £3000 worth of extra features at no extra cost, the Alfa Spider Limited Edition effortlessly unites the head and heart with dramatic effect.
The Alfa Spider Limited Edition features a choice of four colour combinations, alloy wheels, leather upholstery, electrically adjustable and heated memory front seats and door mirrors. Yet the price remains a cool £25,500. The extra features include Italian Frau® leather upholstery and the unique Blue&Me™ hands-free system with voice recognition and media player.
Bespoke colours for the Alfa Spider Limited Edition include a Carbonio Black version with a natural leather upholstery while the Alfa Red exterior paintwork is matched to a black leather interior. The super-cool Ghiaccio White colour scheme comes with a choice of either black or natural leather upholstery. For added driver and passenger comfort, these leather seats are heated to keep the occupant warm whilst the roof is down on early morning starts or late night drives.
Equipped with 19" spoked alloy wheels, the limited edition Alfa Spider looks purposeful and powerful. Under the bonnet the 2.2 JTS petrol engine produces 185bhp and powers the Alfa Spider from 0 - 62mph in 8.8 seconds and on to a top speed of 139mph.

Beautiful...
This mean a new Spider is on the way! Yay!

Sure, knock the 0-60 time, but this is the sorta car you WANT to see and be seen in. So going by in a 4.5 zero to 60 time is counterproductive.
And that comment about the "aging spider"? It's a helluva lot more contemporary than anything we have in the US, TT and Boxster included.

uhm, that car is like 2 years old, I'd hardly call that "aging". It's lines are still more modern than, heck, any bmw (who, let's face it, mostly look like boxes with moustaches on the front)

The best cruiser around right now?! quite possibly.

It looks great, but the Brera looks a bit sexier IMO.

I still don't understand the appeal of this car. The front end looks just as horrific as the rest of Alfa's vehicles.

I think that's what happens with a stand-out design as the one Alfa uses, you either hate it or love it. Thankfully 90% of people are part of the love crowd, which is why Alfas, despite their flaws, are generally considered the prettiest cars in each of their segments.
VW, Toyota and such always play it too safe.
Nobody thinks the golf or the passat are ugly, but nobody thinks of the them when you say "sexy hatchback/4-door saloon" either.
