I'm sure you're right, that the SRX would've sold better if it looked more like a baby Escalade. As far as I'm concerned they can drive a "more Lexus RX-like" SRX straight from the end of the assembly line to the crusher. The RX is the very last Lexus I'd choose, from their entire line. The current iteration is just bland, the first was hideous.
The Magnum wasn't bad as a wagon version of the Charger (yes, I realize the Magnum was introduced first.) I think it would've been nicer with a bit more of the Chrysler 300 aesthetic instead of the Dodge styling... I think it's sold that way in Europe in fact.
The IS Sportcross was silly... no manual, some odd shapes where they integrated the wagon body around the rear doors (a common problem with the "wagonize a sedan" design technique) and had the same too-tight-cabin problem of its sedan sister. I'd still have taken it before I took an RX... if someone gave me one for free I'd sell it. Did I mention I despise the RX?
