Click above to view the WebRidesTV shootout.

It's tough to top Top Gear (as Gear producers are about to find out), but until Clarkson, Hamster and Captain Slow get back on schedule, the crew at WebRidesTV is back to cure our insatiable lust for all things automotive and in motion. Sure, it doesn't have TG's production value, but everything looks cooler with heavy vignetting.

This latest installment pits the Audi RS4 against the Lexus IS F, in what could be their best shootout to date. It's the battle of the middleweights and you can view the film in full after the jump.

I don't know what these complaints here are about, i've seen worse then this on the speed channel, and that's made for television on huge budgets. I'm happy there is content that's this good on the web. Besides, i don't even watch tv anymore. I still love Top Gear though, they're the best, but they are funded by the BBC and have huge budgets, prolly like over 1 million per episode.

Oh and if it were up to me, i'd still take the RS4.

A few glaring omissions: they didn't actually give us the numbers for the slalom and the 0-80-0mph runs, only the differences between them. Hard numbers would've been handy. And what's with all the editing? Just show the cars doing what they do. That's why Top Gear rules.

Dude... I love the video... really nice production quality -- you guys must spend a ton on shooting costs (Compared to my sony HandyCam)... The host is better than your last video, but -- not much better...

Always a fan of Audi's, the 4wd makes'em less fun, but on-the-road, I'd take Quattro ANY day... oh, and where are the specs?

You don't really appreciate how good Top Gear is until you watch a comparison like this... snorefest. I didn't think it was possible to make a drive in the RS4 look boring.

It seems that compared to the Lexus the Audi IS boring to drive. Have YOU been inside both around a track?

For some reason I can't reply to my own thread....

Anyway, I only buy cars with manual transmissions. My Sedan and coupe are both 5-speed manuals.

I don't care if there is a computer than can shift faster than I can, the joy of hitting that perfect down-shift is lost with an 'automated manual'.

are you kidding me?! this video rocks.

Looks like Audi has some splainin' to do.

This is a sweet video, I have no idea what you monkeys are bitching about! I really like the IS-F, looks like a blast to drive! I can't wait for the next Shoot Out. At least someone is producing real internet auto content vs the hand-held bull s*#t
that is infecting the world like a virus!

They got the cinematography right. And I think they got the music right as well as the specs of the cars. The one thing lacking was an indication of excitement on the part of the presenter. Man, he needs to get revved up he's so monotone and dull. Everything else was pretty cool.
I thought the video was great, only thing missing was the presenters excitement and enthusiasm. Clarkson says stuff like,

"Driving this car is as exciting as rubbing hot oil on Kiera Knightly"

Thats what is missing from this video, but hopefully not from "Gear"

By right I assume you mean "Top Gear" because it looks like they kidnapped TG's DP and Editor, along with a stolen box of camera filters.
WTF? They even copied Top Gear's signature Hemmings & Jemstock song! How original!
To compare this to TopGear is unfair. TopGear is totally Entertainment. This is a bit more Technical. Great vid WebRideTv.

I would have liked to see something like the MotorTrend M3, C63, RS-A4 & Is-F.

Nice vid... I'm going to go to the dealership and try out the Lexus myself! I drove my friend's RS4... its powerful, but seemed really heavy... RWD anyday!!!
