Those clever Hawkeyes don't need Xibit to pimp a ride, so here to represent Iowa pimps we have this 1988 Camaro IROC-Z, apparently inspired by a Sprite commercial. The great thing about any pimped piece of auto is that it sells itself -- all you need to do is see the car on the street and you know, as Paul Harvey said, the rest of the story. The "fresh 305, fresh tranny w/shift kit," TV, subs, lambo doors, is par for the track course. What really interests us about this car is the price: $9,900 or "comparable trade." We're fine with the cash -- what we really want to see is what kind of car qualifies as "comparable trade"? Thanks for the tip, Aaron!

Reminds me of the box Caprice I've seen around here, yellow exterior with yellow and brown interior, raised up on dubs, and yes, painted with M&Ms all over the car, including the M&M dudes like on the NASCAR race car.

It's actually in Omaha, Nebraska if you view the Craigslist listing.

On the bright side (no pun intended), whoever buys it will probably LOVE it.

Some horrible things are done to this generation of Camaro everyday.

      Poor Camaro...

The color scheme wouldn't been so bad if the interior and exterior colors were switched and green toned down. I can't imagine being comfortable driving inside a yellow cockpit.

I graduated from high school in 1995 with a bunch of farmkid, rednecks. They would have loved this thing as high schoolers. Hell one guy at our school drove a 1985 Bonneville Sedan with a bored out 305 V8.

I remember my high school days... I have to admit I had bad taste back then, painting a car robin egg blue. This green and yellow car takes bad taste to another level.

ha! I also had the misfortunate of choosing a Robin Egg Blue paint job from Ear Shieb (sp?) for my 1980-something Chevette.

Of course the white grill and accents made it classy.

Your welcome Jonathon! When me and the guys emailed this around, I instantly thought "Mello Yello". I enjoy Mountain Dew and wouldn't dirty that fine drink with such an ugly car.
Another note, the car is from Omaha, Nebraska. Which, while we are from the midwest, our loyalty to John Deere ends at clothing lines. Iowan's know better than to cross this line!

Sadly, there are some things you can't un-see. This is one of them....

In answer to the question copied and quoted below, apparently the fake Wayne's World AMC Pacer is a similar priced fair trade and the two owners might be the only 2 who would like either car. Hope they meet.
