VIDEO: Cirque du Soleil commercial interrupted by Audi RS6

From the some-automakers-have-more-money-than-sense department comes a new commercial for the Audi RS6. The minute-long teaser spot features some kind of synchronized gymnastics routine that we guess is supposed to signify a bunch of people working together like a finely tuned machine. We think there are some gymnasts imitating the pistons in the blisteringly fast RS6 V10, and there was a human crankshaft and some headlights too, but it's hard to tell with it being people in tights and all. The last three seconds is the first indication that this is a car commercial, as the front end of the sledge hammer RS6 is finally shown.
We know it's a teaser ad, but next time we'd like to see a little more sheet metal and a lot less flesh. Besides, didn't Ford just do the people as cars thing a couple months ago? Hit the jump to view the minute-long commercial, then let us know what you think in the comments.

It's pretty cool, but it's hard to see what signifies what.

better than the Ford spot.
thought it was very clear.
I think it is definitely set up for gear heads. If you are a gear head, you will be intrigued by whats going on and try to see what they are representing. And I'm guessing Joe and Jane Anonymous arent going to recognize what is going on in an engine so this would be lost on them.

I think it was done very well. Won't appeal to most of us gearheads (after that STi spot, what can?), but the average person will definitely take notice. Then again, the average person doesn't buy an RS6, so I guess it's mostly for the brand.

it makes perfect sense!
i think it's a great commercial... every human move gives a clue in a perhaps more subtile way, but still speaks a lot about the car. you just need a little imagination.

Great commercial! Too bad none of us in the States will get to drive it. For shame Audi!!! Stop teasing.

This has got to be one of the best commercials i have ever seen. Yeah the BMW M3 commercial was nice but if you pay attention, u can actually see the engine parts moving.
INGENIOUS.
reminds me of what a television critic had said, "American television is short, un-educative, meaningless programs filled with foul language, sex and violence interrupted by hilarious, entertaining and involving commercials!"

hah the commercial is awesome.
the begining the people spreading out represents the headlights turning on, notice the little led's
the people being thrown represent the cylinders being fired
10 people 10 cylinders
the people spinning on the pole represent the turbine fins from the turbocharger.
f'n brilliant. :]

although the ones flipping 'round the pole with their bodies folded, is the crankshaft.

Didn't make a WHOLE bunch of sense, but I got the just of the Commercial and it was entertaining, plus it's a pretty good car.

I have to appreciate that commercial for all the effort.
Now is it memorable and does it make sense to the public? I think most won't realize it's a car spot.
I still think it's cool.

You autobloggers suck.
We all like it!
Very German-oriented, probably.
For those who actually know what happens inside a cylinder.

Sure as hell rather see a lot of friggin hot gymnasts in a car ad than a stuffy Audi. Very sexy.
Seems to make sense to me: Show boundlessly talented movement as a metaphor for presumed boundlessly talented machinery.

what? i thought it was pretty darn tight, i loved all the "ah-ha!" moments where i could be like, i know what part of a car they're portraying! but yah no, as much as i love audi i have to say it's not as cool as the ford commercial...
