2012?? Most of the kids who saw the first one won't be kids by then. So much for timely sequels.

The delay shouldn't affect profitability--my kids watch 80s Disney movies as much those from the 00s. Dipping from the same will for a renewed profit

Back in the day before videotape, Disney would release its full-length animated features every seven years, which was enough time, Disney figured, to keep introducing it for a "new generation" for whom it would be fresh. You'll notice that Disney is doing the same thing with the DVD editions of its movies right now with 101 Dalmatians. I recently watched Disney's Pinnochio with my grandson and he enjoyed it as much as I did when I was a kid.
No, rushing the sequels out in a hurry is what usually causes the thin scripts. Yeah, I'll go to see Cars 2. Might even take the grandkid.

they should make an escalade with a black guy's voice and a lowered
impala with a mexican's voice, lol.
Hey, they gave the old pick-up a hillbilly voice. Fair is fair, and
stereotypes are funny because they're true, lol.
and dont forget a hooked up integra with a wigger voice :D
