While I know why car manufacturers insist on putting the proprietary iPod docks in their cars, I can't help to wonder what the hell are they thinking. The iPod connector is a $200 option. A standard aux jack is standard though stupidly placed in the glovebox. Ford Sync as a whole on the other hand is a different matter. Never buy version 1 of anything Microsoft makes. I always refuse to follow the trend and I try to be original, I bought a Sandisk Sansa MP3 player. Cheaper than an Ipod and had more features and memory at the time.
