Not to mention kids texting while driving. The Hummer slams on this website reflect the auto knowledge of some of its readers. H2s are impractical vehicles where most of them spend most of their time operating. Whether people are attracted to them because they "look tough" or are skimpily endowed, most of their buyers aren't using the offroad capabilities.

Am I jealous? Well, I'd love for someone to give me an H2 so I could sell it to some sucker and pocket the $60k a well-equipped one costs. Am I a hypocrite? Hmm... I drive a Subaru wagon (a normal wagon, not an "Outback") so no, I don't think calling the H2 impractical and/or silly is hypocritical.

I thought they were ridiculous when gas prices were HALF what they are today. Now they border on stupid.

DKB_SATX

Comments on HUMMER launches second-gen HT2 phone overseas

I use offroad, I tow. Tons of pickups and SUV's are on the road still getting same mileage. Hell, the little Jeep Wrangler gets only 16 MPG, wow! I remember when car companies could make 40 mpg vehicles, now they pat themselves on the back if they make a few 30 mpg vehicles, its alll a scam. I also have a Partial Zero Emission Subaru we just bought and a motorcycle. Mentioned this many times in other posts. I dont sweat 60k for something I truly enjoy and use so its worth it to me.

Hypocrites relates to being green. Most of the so called green things being done today are turning out to be negative. Lots of people who pick on the H2 are usually unaware of the damage they cause in their daily lives because the truth is, most people dont want to be inconvienienced. Those new light bulbs will leak mercury in the ground. (i stopped buying them) People who eat meat do more damage then automobiles. (I dropped my meat consumption by 80% and went organic) Average family throws away one third of the food they buy. (I eat when hungry and fill up on nuts, granola or fruit). Some people buy a house thats too big for them and are happy to heat or air condition all that extra space, to each their own. (We are looking to downsize from 2400 SF to 1800 SF) And the list goes on and on. Most people who think they are green only do what is convienient for themselves so they can feel better and pick on others, hence the hypocrite thing. So, I will continue to be offended when people decide who I am because of what I drive. Am I perfect? Not even close. Neither are the finger pointers and I will not listen to their crap.

SUV and truck sales climbed to all time records. Then gas prices rose. Wow, people have short memories. Now they cant afford their SUV's and many got rid of them. Now they try and look down on us because we still do and they dont.

Ill bet your a great guy, DBK, so I didnt mean to lump everyone into that, sorry brother!

MajorGeek

Comments on HUMMER launches second-gen HT2 phone overseas

cell-phone == the new watch.

Wow, time and a phone call in a device 3x bigger.
